Easy DIY Envelope Tools + Blog Hop + GIVEAWAY

Welcome! I am back to share a bit more about new create-your-own envelope tools that I really like and think are very helpful for cardmaking.

[If the video isn’t showing up here for you, watch HERE.  All supplies are linked in the text below and in the thumbnails at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links may be used at no cost to you. Thanks for your support!]

This video is a bit different than most I share. I really just wanted to give a closer look at the new envelope dies from Simon Says Stamp. I never really made my own envelopes in the past because it was complicated and required large pieces of paper. So I was excited to get these dies and be able to assemble envelopes easily with normal sized paper!

In the video, I show the three envelope die sizes, ideas for creative envelopes, and more. I also talk about the advantages of making your own envelopes and why I plan to do so more in the future now!

BLOG HOP + FREE GIFT

Today I am participating in a blog hop with Simon Says Stamp in celebration of their newest release. I used many of the products from this release in my video yesterday (find it HERE). You can see the whole release HERE.

Simon Says Stamp is also offering a FREE Friend Outline Die with a purchase of  $50 or more! Use the code BFF489. While supplies last. Ends 1/12/20. Shop HERE.

The next stop on the hop is the blog of Cathy Zielske. You can start at the hop’s beginning on the Simon Says Stamp blog.

  1. I haven’t made my own envelopes in years. I may have to start making them again. Love the use of 8 .5 X 11 paper.

  2. I have made envelopes before if I didn’t have the right size for the card I made. These dies will be great for making envelopes more quickly. Great tips in your video.

  3. As a way to recycle, I have been using my old calendars to make envelopes. Works great for me. I really like the 4 Bar Square Flap Envelope as that is different. Thank you for sharing.

  4. I have been making my own envelopes for a long time…I still have Hambly Screenprints 12 x 12 which make perfect envelopes since one side has a cool pattern and the other side is just text weight gorgeous cardstock so the screenprints really make cool envelopes…no need to decorate the inside of the envelope…it is already done…and I generally use red line tape so they go thru the mail with no problem…

  5. I ordered the A2 envelope die as soon as I finished your video. I have so much paper in my stash that will make beautiful envelopes.
This is the second die I have received from Simon simply wrapped in cellophane. It’s a fragile die that needs a protective storage envelope. For $39.99 plus tax plus shipping Simon needs to rethink this packaging.
I have written to Simon but I wasn’t sure you knew how this product was being sent to customers.

  6. Oh wow! I don’t think I’ve made envelopes since my daughter was in Girl Scouts – and we use them so often to mail our pretty cards! Very clever and super cheerful! TFS!

  7. I’ve never done envelopes before and I can’t wait to get started! I’ll order the dies today. Your videos are the best and I love Simon Says Stamp. Products arrive quickly and I’ve never been disappointed. Thanks!
