I always enjoy making cards that don’t open in the traditional way. And gatefold cards are a great option for this! I also like cards with belly bands… so I thought I would combine the two today. Be sure to watch the video to see how easy they are to make!
My first card is approximately 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″. The belly band is made from Grafix Platinum Vellum… and has a Pretty Pink Posh Aloha Shaker (SSS | PPP) stacked die cut with a Pretty Pink Posh Sunshine Script Die Cut (SSS | PPP) and Pretty Pink Posh Tropical Birds (SSS | PPP) sentiment. I also added several Pretty Pink Posh Metallic Gold Jewels (SSS | PPP).
After removing the belly band, the triangle flaps open to reveal a top-folding notecard. I inked the background with my Picket Fence Life Changing Brushes, Gina K Ocean Mist Ink and the new Pretty Pink Posh Waves Stencil (SSS | PPP)… and added a Pretty Pink Posh Everyday Greeting (SSS | PPP) sentiment.
My next card is 4 1/4″ x 5″. This time I added a piece of My Favorite Things Black and White Stripe patterned paper to my Grafix Platinum Vellum belly band. The focal piece features images from the Pretty Pink Posh Tropical Birds (SSS | PPP) and Tropical Toucans Stamp Sets (SSS | PPP)… and a die cut frame from the Pretty Pink Posh Beach Scene Die (SSS | PPP).
After removing the belly band and opening the flaps, there is a notecard with an inked background created with my Picket Fence Life Changing Brushes, Gina K Ocean Mist Ink and the new Pretty Pink Posh Tropical Background Stencil (SSS | PPP).
My third card is also 4 1/4″ x 5″. This time I made the triangle flaps with Grafix Platinum Vellum and Pretty Pink Posh Tropical Frame Die (SSS | PPP). The belly band features the Pretty Pink Posh Hibiscus Flowers Stamp Set (SSS | PPP) and a small “thanks” from the Pretty Pink Posh Sea Friends Stamp Set (SSS | PPP).
When opened, you find a notecard inked with Hero Arts Unicorn White Ink and the new Pretty Pink Posh Tropical Background Stencil (SSS | PPP).
My last card is 5 1/4 x 5 1/4″. The focal piece was made with the fun new Pretty Pink Posh Beach Scene Die (SSS | PPP) and a small “hello” from the Pretty Pink Posh Sea Friends Stamp Set (SSS | PPP). I also stamped Pretty Pink Posh Hibiscus Flowers (SSS | PPP) images with light ink on the triangle flaps.
When opened, there is a notecard stamped with light and the Simon Says Stamp Round and Round Stamp. The sentiment is from the Pretty Pink Posh Life Stamp Set (SSS | PPP).
