Altenew Alcohol Based Markers + DISCOUNT CODE + GIVEAWAYS

Hello! Today’s video is all about the Altenew Artist Markers (SSS | ALT). These markers are an affordable alcohol-based option that are great for crafters. I also share several fun techniques.

In my video, I share lots of info on the Altenew Artist Markers (SSS | ALT) and why they are great for crafters. Be sure to watch the video to learn more! And also read the bottom of this post… I have lots there, including a discount code and lots of giveaways.

My first card features the new Altenew Wallpaper Stamp Set (SSS | ALT) — isn’t that flower gorgeous?! I colored it with Altenew Artist Markers (SSS | ALT) using a feathering motion. I also added a sentiment from the Altenew Inked Roses Stamp Set (SSS | ALT).

Here is a closer look at the coloring. I am not the best coloring pro out there, but these markers make it easier for me. There are two big reasons for that: these markers have a fine and brush tip… and they come in coloring families which takes out all the guesswork.

Here is another flower I created with the Altenew Wallpaper Stamp Set (SSS | ALT) and Altenew Artist Markers (SSS | ALT). This time I used a more traditional coloring method to get a smooth blend with bold color. I also added a vase from the Altenew Versatile Vases Stamp Set (SSS | ALT).

On the background, I stamped faux marble tile squares using the Altenew One Day At A Time Stamp Set (SSS | ALT). I stamped this with Altenew Frosty Pink Ink… which is a perfect match to the Altenew Frosty Pink Artist Marker that I used on the flower. That is another reason I like using the Altenew Artist Markers (SSS | ALT) — there are inks to match each marker color. Yay!

I also added scoring lines around the marble stamping for texture. The sentiment is from the Altenew Thank You Builder Stamp Set (SSS | ALT).

My next card has a completely different look. After stamping flowers and a sentiment from the new Altenew Bold Bunch Stamp Set (SSS | ALT) with Altenew Inks (SSS | ALT), I added basic colored details with my Altenew Artist Markers (SSS | ALT). This is super easy to do and makes the colors pop!

By the way, I stamped a sentiment on most of today’s envelopes from the Altenew Rennie Roses Stamp Set (SSS | ALT).

My next card shows that you can use alcohol-based markers for simple, solid, smooth coloring. It isn’t always necessary to take the time to acheive blending. Alcohol-based markers give smooth results without leaving a scribbled look. Here, I used the Altenew Artist Markers (SSS | ALT) to color an image from the Altenew Book Club Stamp Set (SSS | ALT). I also used matching inks to stamp “thank you” from the Altenew Thank You Builder Stamp Set (SSS | ALT) and borders on the card edge.

My last two cards use the Altenew Prettiest Pomander Stamp Set (SSS | ALT), Altenew Versatile Vases Stamp Set (SSS | ALT)… and the Altenew Leaf Medallion Stamp Set (SSS | ALT) for a sentiment. This flower stamp set is great because it includes the outline image along with layering images for adding the color. My first card uses all these together… and I added details with my Altenew Artist Markers (SSS | ALT).

And here is another example using the same products… but this time I did not use the outline stamp. This gives a no-line coloring look with little effort! I just added a few extra details with my Altenew Artist Markers (SSS | ALT).

This shows how fun it is to use inks and matching markers together. I am not perfect at coloring, but this is good for me! 😉

  1. Hi Jennifer,
I am the most unlucky person when it comes to winning drawings; I don’t usually win anything, but who wouldn’t want to win these new markers! People say you have to be in it to win it so here goes!! They look absolutely amazing. I would love the opportunity to win them and try them out. Thank you for the giveaway opportunities. Take care and God Bless.

  2. Correction… I had a typo when I entered my email address, so I am typing it again below.

  3. Great colouring tips and tricks, Jennifer … and such loveliness in all your cards … I’m especially taken with how you stepped up the Bold Bunch stamping with the markers … what a delicious difference it makes! Anita 🙂

  4. You continue to inspire, Miss Jennifer! I have been wanting to explore alcohol markers, but the price of the Copics is out of my range. It is nice to have an alternative that has been tried and recommended. Thank you.

  5. The cards are awesome as always and the markers look well-thought out. I really like that they come in color families which makes blending so much easier. On your last two cards with the Prettiest Pomander set, I actually prefer the second one without the outline stamp done first. Very pretty.

  6. What a great collection. Especially love the addition of the “stalks” for the flowers. It makes a huge difference for such a little thing.

  7. WOW!!!!!! I am I love with the markers and inks and STAMPS!!! I am a flower type of girl and can see so many uses for these stamps and also the dies!! Just such BEAUTIFUL Cards and I love the sentiments . If only I could be 1/2 as good as you, Jennifer McGuire! So veryyyy talented … thank for for the chance to win and for sharing your creativeness with all your viewers and admirers!
    Love it all!

  8. Hi Jennifer:
I have to say it is nice to hear from someone who likes to colour but struggles with blending as that is my problem too. I am constantly looking for markers that will make it easier for me but not bankrupt me lol. Thankyou so much for the video. The tips and techniques are muchly appreciated.

  9. Thank you ever so much for doing this video on the Altenew Markers! Choosing a line of markers is such a big deal because it is an investment and you want them to perform. I have been using the Altenew Crisp Inks for awhile now and to have coordinating/matching alcohol markers is a plus for me! Your cards were beautiful, Jennifer! I would like to know how you made the “water” for your vases. It was spot on!

  10. I love the “crispness” of the colors, and especially the teal (I guess that’s the name) colored flowers.

  11. Beautiful cards-I like that the Altenew alcohol markers match their inks! How easy is that??? And the fact that they are sold in families of 4 is also helpful. Thank you for the informative video.

  12. Thank you so much Jennifer. I would just love to win a set of these alcohol markers. I do have some copics, and I love them…but I just love the altenew colors…and these seem so vibrant…Your cards were just gorgeous. And a big thank you for the discount code….wish I had the money right now…but My Birthday is today….and I ordered myself the Wallpaper Art stamp set….will have to wait for the stencil and die at a later date….Budget time for me….I thank you so much for being so generous with your great discriptions of how you work with the products…it helps me so much….big hugs!

  13. Thank you for reviewing the Altenew Markers. It’s so nice to have matching colors and now with ink refills and replacement nibs, they look like a great addition to our crafty supplies!

  14. You turned these stamps into masterpieces! I especially like the one that looks like no-line coloring. I think I may have set with which I can try this some day. I will pin this, so when I can start crafting again, I’ll remember. I NEED some papertherapy! Thanks for always encouraging!

  15. I just “stumbled” upon your blog through Pinterest today and I am overwhelmed by your talent. Also, thank you for introducing me to the Altenew makers. They look like a great alternative to those more expensive “famous” alcohol ink markers. I’m excited to get my hands on these!

  16. Jennifer, you are a card maker’s best friend!! I really liked the stamping and coloring ideas you shared today. The Altenew flowers are so beautiful!

    1. Love all of thecmarch line. Never had the chance to buy alcohol markers, so expensive. I am a beginner at coloring. Jennifer and other artist make it look so easy. I would love yo give it a try. Love all the videos. I enjoy watching them so much
