Cut Up Stamping + GIVEAWAY
Hello. Today I am sharing how to get new looks for stamped cards simply by cutting them up! This works with any products you may have.

On all of my cards today, I cut/removed thin strips out of stamped panels and then added the pieces onto a card with craft foam for dimension. This gives a fun new look to any card!
My first few cards feature the beautiful Altenew Exotic Tulips Stamp Set (SSS | ALT). I stamped all of the flowers and masked them with the coordinating Altenew Exotic Tulips Mask Stencils (SSS | ALT) before adding a bit of blue ink with my Picket Fence Life Changing Brushes.
Next I cut thin strips from the panel vertically and horizontally and added craft foam to the back of the pieces for dimension. After adding them to a card, I stamped a sentiment from the Altenew Wonderland Stamp Set (SSS | ALT). Oh… and the shimmer on the flowers is from a Tonic Aqua Shimmer Pen.
For my second card, I cut out strips diagonally. Be sure to watch the video to see how easy this is to do!

My last tulip card is super simple… with one diagonal cut-out section. The sentiment is from the Altenew Needlework Motif Stamp Set (SSS | ALT).
That sentiment fits perfectly there! I often cut my pieces to a width that works well with a sentiment I have.
Next up… three more floral examples… this time featuring the Altenew Build-A-Flower Hyacinth Bundle (SSS | ALT). I did a bit of masking on each using the coordinating die and Gina K Masking Magic (SSS | GK).
I stamped over this first floral image with light yellow ink and the fabulous Altenew Pinstripe Stamp Set (SSS | ALT). I then randomly cut out strips to create this fun look…
On my next card, I cut larger strips out so that I could add three sentiments.
And my favorite? This simple one.
A little soft blue ink… and one vertical section cut out for a sentiment. Simple yet striking.
This technique of “cut up stamping” also works when you make a mistake. Here, I cut out a section where I messed up my watercolor and replaced it with a sentiment from the Altenew Dotted Blooms Stamp Set (SSS | ALT).
These flowers are from the Altenew Beautiful Peony Stamp Set (SSS | ALT) and I watercolored them quickly with the Altenew Spring Garden Watercolor Brush Markers (SSS | ALT).
I also find this technique helps to bring attention to a sentiment on a busy card. Here I used the Altenew Frilled Petals Stamp Set (SSS | ALT).
I usually do this technique on a white notecard, but I like the contrast with the colored card…
Another super simple one… featuring the Altenew Baroque Motifs Stamp Set (SSS | ALT) with a few layers of Hero Arts White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder.

My last card uses the Altenew Dotted Blooms Stamp Set (SSS | ALT). I added highlights to the flowers with my Luminance White Pencil and stamped over it twice with my Altenew Pinstripe Stamp Set (SSS | ALT). The sentiment is from the Altenew Flower Arrangement Die Set (SSS | ALT). I like how this technique gives the look of a window…
