Hello! Today I am sharing a few ways to create unique double gatefold cards. These designs can be used with any stamps and dies.

I have shared variations of a double gatefold card design in the past (check out THIS video) but thought it would be fun to share a new look. This time I use partial die cutting to create a smooth look.
My first card is the most simple… and doesn’t actually require partial die cutting. Be sure to watch the video to see how it was made! The gold embossed frame in the center is from the new Hero Arts Autumn Moon Stamp Set (SSS | HA) and the flowers are from the Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Kit. I colored the flowers with Copic Markers and added sparkle with Tonic Aqua Shimmer Pens.
I used Hero Arts Soft Vanilla Ink (SSS | HA) over the new Hero Arts Ornate Floral Stencil (SSS | HA) on the background… and added a sentiment from the Hero Arts Rain or Shine Stamp Set.
When you open the card, there is a large area inside to stamp more or write a personal message. I love how the frame is smooth with the card and opens to the left when opened.
My second card is a bit more advanced… with partial die cutting on both flaps of the card. This gives a fun interlocking effect when closed. I used the flowers and coordinating dies from the Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Kit and stamped the Hero Arts Patterned Lanterns Stamp (SSS | HA) on the background.
The sentiment is from the Hero Arts Support Prayers Love Stamp Set (SSS | HA).
And when opened, the flowers separate to show the message inside.
My last card shows a double gatefold card design that opens in the other direction. I used partial die cutting with the Hero Arts Textured Leaves Stamp Set (SSS | HA) and coordinating dies (SSS | HA). This stamp set is gorgeous!
The sentiment is from the Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Kit.
Here you can see how the card opens…
