Unique Reveal Wheel Cards + GIVEAWAY

Hi again! Today I am sharing fun ways to create reveal wheel cards. With the spin of a wheel, fun messages are revealed!

[All supplies are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post. Multiple stores are also linked in the parentheses following the product name. Compensated affiliate links may be used at no cost to you.]

Reveal wheel cards are very easy to make, thanks to the new Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Die. In my video I show how to create a standard reveal wheel card… and then a couple unique designs using basic shape dies you likely already have.

The first card uses the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Die for a basic design. Be sure to watch the video to see how easily it comes together! On the front, I colored images from the new WPlus9 Flock Yeah Stamp Set… added birds from the Simon Says Stamp Sea You Soon Stamp Set… and sentiments from the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Sentiments Stamp Set.

Simply by turning the wheel, new messages are revealed…

For my next card, I used the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Die set… but instead created the window with a small heart from the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Die set. I added star stamps from the Simon Says Stamp Seeing Stars Stamp Set and a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Dad and Me Stamp Set.

The trophy and the words on the wheel (“the best dad ever!”) are from the Lawn Fawn Puns Galore Stamp Set.

My last card features one of my all-time-favorite stamp sets… Lawn Fawn Love Letters. I created the window with a small die from the My Favorite Things Stitched Square Stax Die Set and added messages from the Lawn Fawn Tiny Tags and Reveal Wheel Sentiments Stamp Sets.

My son loved these cards… and helped me out in showing how the wheel turns…

  1. Jennifer, your cards are SO FUN! I LOVE interactive cards! You ALWAYS come up with the BEST IDEAS for products, & IDEAS FOR GREAT CARDS! 😉 I DO LOVE TO COLOR!!!!!!!!!! My problem is finding enough images to color! LOL 😉

  2. The flamingo card is so lovely !! And I love coloring with Watercolour pencils.

  3. Inspiring cards. I love to colour in images on cards, not very successful with coloured pencils but I remind myself that practice makes perfect.

  4. Jennifer- yes I truly enjoy coloring, and so enjoy the nudge of Kathy’s “challenge time” to remind me! Thanks so much for sharing creative options for the reveal wheel die set!

  5. I do enjoy coloring, although to be honest, colored pencils are the only medium I’ve only really worked with. Love the results of what I see you and other talented folks using on your projects!

  6. Thank you so much for another awesome and informative video. Your cards and ideas are fantastic! I love coloring… particularly with Zigs. I also enjoy coloring with Copic markers too.

  7. I love coloring when I get a chance. Lol. But I need a ton more practice. Lovely cards! Thanks for the tutorial!

  8. I love coloring. I especially love it during the challenge, when I don’t feel like I have to finish and make a card with it; I can just play. If I have a deadline, then it’s slightly less fun, because I’m super slow. But other than that, I love coloring, which is surprising, because I grew up thinking I “wasn’t artsy,” so this has been a pleasant discovery of my adulthood. Thanks for supporting Kathy and the challenge. I mean this in the best possible way: you two deserve each other. You are both such forces for kindness and love and encouragement in the world that it makes me happy that there was this community through which you could become friends.

  9. I really love coloring. I am new to it and have just been stocking up on supplies. I love these hops as there are so many tips and inspiration.

  10. Your cards are fantastic! And yes, I do love to color. I can’t go on a road trip or even to work without taking something to color (even if I never touch it, I know it’s there if I need it)! Yes, I’m a mess😊.

  11. I love coloring but I’m still pretty new at it. Or at least using copics and figuring out the shading.
I love watching your videos and usually watch them while I’m feeding my one year old lunch. I joke she’s going to be a better crafter then me since she’s starting so early!!

  12. I love coloring with diferent colors, such as copics, Tombows, Watercolor and Colorpenciles.
You made beatiful card. Thanks for the inspiration.

  13. First if all, I do not like coloring, but you inspire me to want to color! By your beautiful techniques, I feel I can creat a masterpiece! When I see your coloring and shading techniques I do indeed WANT to color now! Thanks for the inspiration. I will no longer avoid coloring on my cards.

  14. I love coloring! Long before it was “the thing to do”, I would love to sit and color with my kids and grandkids, so I was very excited when coloring became the “in thing”. I love to watercolor, alcohol ink color, paint, color with pencils, anything at all. I will give it a try.

  15. I really do love coloring, but only with certain mediums. I am doing the challenge to not only join in on social media for the first time, getting out of my inner circle, but to also practice, practice, PRACTICE! I need to get more comfortable socially and in the coloring world. Fingers crossed!

  16. I am going to answer your question first. Do I like to color? Do birds swim & fish fly? LOL When I was growing up, we used to have coloring contests. We would sit on either the steps on my porch or my friends and we would color. We would rate each person who colored and of course we gave each other A or 100. When I got to about 10 or 12 I was to old to color anymore because coloring books were made for little kids. You cam’t imagine how upset I was! I got my first adult coloring book in 1981 & I still have it. I also had 4 years of art in high school and we did plenty of coloring. I am not a newbie at this by any means. I LOVE TO COLOR!
Your cards remind me of cards Hallmark used to sell in 60’s and 70’s that had that wheel on them. I’ve bought some of them before. I love how you colored yours and the memories they bring back. Thank you for making me smile.
Thank you for showing us your colorful, fun cards & for giving us the chance to win something. I love your cards!

  17. I do love coloring. Albeit I’m very new to the craft coloring world. I have been watching your videos and trying to pick up some of your techniques. Thanks for all the lessons and can’t wait to develop my skills. I absolutely love all of your cards. Your videos on YouTube are the absolute best.

  18. Yes I enjoy coloring but mine is just basic level. I only own one Copic and I’m not very good at shading and layering. I do give it a try sometimes. I like using the Zig markers and a little water coloring. I love Kathy’s challenges too.

  19. I find coloring very relaxing, so I really enjoy it. My favorite medium right now are the zig color pens. So easy to blend. When I wanna cahhlange myself, I try my copics. Both are great tools for card makers.

  20. I love coloring with Copic markers. My friend is an instructor for Copic and has given me tips to create the best images possible. I find it theraputic and relaxing.

  21. I love to color, but my hands don’t always, I’d like to see more innovative ergonomic design options out there. You do great work, I use your ideas all the time!

  22. I love colouring, but I don’t think colouring loves me! I never seem to get the realistic looks that I admire and it often discourages me. Unfortunately I don’t practice enough and when I do sit down to colour something, I expect a small miracle where everything just works and the image looks perfect… sadly that never happens and I tend to set aside any colouring projects I want to do because I feel like an amateur. I need to do Kathy’s 30 day challenge (more than once) so it makes me practice every day and maybe then one day I’ll get decent results. Big maybe…

  23. I absolutely love coloring! Any chance I get to color I take it! I am always looking for new opportunities to color my stamped images!

  24. I love to color especially with pencil crayons. I do enjoy you doing some videos using a particular product and showing us how it all works, your creativity never ceases to amaze me 🙂

  25. I have always loved coloring! When Iwas little I colored every Friday night while my dad participated in his bowling league. Now I color while my husband watches his “manly” TV shows. Always relaxing and a great break from the commitments of life.

  26. Super cute cards! I enjoy coloring and my eight year old daughter and I are doing the challenge for the first time. She loves coloring with just about any medium and so do I. It’s so relaxing, and yes, I could color everyday and love every minute!

  27. You are such an amazing card maker and your work is always out of this word. Boy, do I love coloring. I enjoy using markers, pencils and my favorite is watercoloring.

    Have a wonderful day,
    Jessica from Polka Dot Orchard

  28. I am re-discovering stamping and I just make my first card coloring using alcohol markers. Thanks for your awesome tutorials. Very clear and well done video quality and lighting. Thank you!

  29. This is something I definitely want to make, looks so much fun to see it come together 😀 I always loved coloring with pencils, but when starting to color with Copics for my card projects I was nervous to mess up, but I saw many crafters using the markers and I learned a lot and I love coloring with the markers now 🙂
