Two-At-Once Cards + Altenew Showcase + Giveaway
Hello! I am a big believer in making more than one card at a time. The more you make, the more you can give! Today I am sharing a few tips for creating “two-at-once” cards… and sharing a look at the newest Altenew release.

I honestly never make one card at a time. While I have supplies out, I might as well make two… or more. Here are some tips to help you do the same…
BACKGROUND STAMPING + DIE CUTTING
One of the fastest ways to create two cards at once is by stamping a background and then die cutting a large element from it. Then you have two pieces to use on two cards. Keep in mind – you can do this technique with any large die – a circle, heart, etc.
Here, I created a floral background using the Altenew Strength Blooms Stamp Set (SSS | ALT). I then used the new and very awesome Altenew Mega Hello Die (SSS | ALT) to die cut from the center.
I adhered the negative space to a card and added a few stacked Altenew Mega Hello Die Cuts (SSS | ALT) into the open space. Easy!
I stacked the stamped die cut onto a few more Altenew Mega Hello Die Cuts (SSS | ALT) and simply added it to a pool notecard. The stamped sentiment is from the Altenew In My Thoughts Stamp Set (SSS | ALT).
Oh – and I also used the Altenew Mega Greetings Stamp Set (SSS | ALT) to stamp “hello” on the matching envelope.
BACKGROUND STAMPING + DIE CUTTING
Background dies are a favorite of mine, but they do have a high price point. Therefore, I am always looking for ways to get more out of them! One great method is to ink a background and die cut it with a background die… and use the positive pieces on one card and the negative on another.
For my examples, I started by inking white cardstock with a rainbow of Altenew Inks (SSS | ALT). I then sprayed it generously with Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz for lots of shine. Finally, I die cut it with the new and fun Altenew Gradient Stripes Cover Die (SSS | ALT).
I added the striped pieces onto a white notecard by using the negative space as a temporary guide. I added a stacked-and-topped-with-glitter-paper Altenew You Are Loved Die Cut (SSS | ALT) and an Altenew Happy Heart Stamp Set (SSS | ALT) sentiment.
For my second card, I added the negative space to a notecard along with a stacked-and-topped-with-shiny-paper Altenew You Are Loved Die Cut (SSS | ALT). I cut off the words “you are” from the die cuts and instead heat embossed “you are” from the Altenew Folksy Florals Stamp Set (SSS | ALT).
SAME STAMPS, DIFFERENT DESIGNS
Just because you are making two cards at once doesn’t mean they have to be the same exact design or have the same sentiment.
I wanted to use both of the sentiments from the new Altenew Party Time! Stamp Set (SSS | ALT) so I made two cards. I started with the sentiments and then stamped the images around them. Using an acrylic block, I could easily stamp an image on one card, and then on the other card.
Check out these images from the Altenew Party Time! Stamp Set (SSS | ALT)! I love the multi-layer stamping that results in those dimensional-looking ribbons and sequins!
IDENTICAL CARDS
Sometimes it is easiest to just make two cards exactly the same. This is especially true if you have a stamping tool like the MISTI. It makes it fast!
I adore the new Altenew Folksy Florals Stamp Set (SSS | ALT)! It reminds me so much of the It’s A Small World ride at Disney World. (Which happens to be where I am now with my son and oldest daughter. Rode the ride yesterday! I find the design inspiring.) Be sure to watch the video to see how I saved a lot of time stamping all those individual leaves.
The Altenew Mega Thanks Die Cuts (SSS | ALT) are stacked with a silver glitter die cut on top.
There are MANY ways to make multiple cards at once! These are just a few ideas to get you started.
