Dimensional Sentiments + BIG Giveaways + Sale

Hi! I am (finally) back with another video for you! Today I am sharing a dimensional sentiment technique. You can use this with almost any stamps and dies and it gives a unique look.

There are many ways to do this fun sentiment technique and in the video I show a few. It is difficult to explain here, so be sure to watch the video! And it is very helpful to have a stamping tool such as the MISTI.

My first card features the gorgeous and much-more-simple-to-stamp-than-it-looks Altenew Sweet Rose Bouquet Stamp Set (ALT | SSS). I first stamped the flowers using light Altenew Inks (ALT | SSS)… using first and second generation stamping to get lighter results. Next, I stamped the sentiment using messages from the Altenew Dearest Friend (ALT | SSS) and Wings of Hope Stamp Sets (ALT | SSS). Before stamping the leaves, I die cut the flowers with the coordinating dies.

I added all the pieces to a notecard that I inked with a matching ink… using foam adhesive to adhere the roses. This adds fun dimension and the sentiment is stretched across. You can even peek behind the roses and sees the pink notecard showing through.

My next example shows using this dimensional stamping technique with more layers popped up – including the flowers and leaves. I first stamped the “hello”  from the Altenew Blooming Bouquet (ALT | SSS) with black ink. I then stamped the stunning flower from the Altenew Anemone Build a Flower Set (ALT | SSS) and die cut it out. After removing the flower, I stamped the leaves… and then cut them out.

I reassembled the pieces together on a pink notecard. I use foam adhesive behind the leaves… and doubled-up foam adhesive behind the flower. That large “hello” works great for this technique.

You can also do this technique by first stamping and die cutting all the pieces. For this card I stamped and die cut lots of flowers and leaves from the new Altenew Build a Flower Hibiscus Set (ALT | SSS). I stamped a sentiment from the Altenew Farmers Market Stamp Set (ALT | SSS) on white cardstock and then added the bottom layer of leaves. I again stamped the sentiment in the same spot so it would be on the leaves, too. I added the next layer and stamped again. Once all the layers were stamped, I rearranged them with foam adhesive under some. Lots of stamping and lots of dimension!

You can also do this technique with layered die cuts. Here I used the Altenew Layered Rose Dies (ALT | SSS), along with the “hello” from the Altenew Blooming Bouquet (ALT | SSS) and a background created with the Altenew Dotted Scales Debossing Die (ALT | SSS).

You can also use background dies, such as the Altenew Spring Shower Cover Die (ALT | SSS). It is best to watch the video to see how this one is done. The sentiment is from the Altenew Everything About You Stamp Set (ALT | SSS).

As you can see, you can use just about any dies and stamps for this dimensional sentiment technique!

You can also use any leftover stamped or die cut pieces for quick cards. I had these pieces leftover from other cards so I just added sentiments! The leaf is from the hibiscus card above, and the flower is left over from THIS set of cards.

BLOG HOP

I am feeling all sentimental about today’s blog hop! This hop is celebrating Altenew’s 4th anniversary. I remember when Jen and Tasnim (two talented friends that I admire so very much) first contacted me about their new company and I was thrilled. Since then, I have used their products quite a bit since I adore the designs. (No – I do not work for them nor am I on their design team – I just enjoy the product!) I am proud of their well-deserved success.

This is a 4 day hop and today is the last day. What a fun hop it has been!

The next stop on the hop is the blog of the wonderful Ellen Hutson. (You can start at the beginning of the hop at Altenew.)
