Stamping Layering Tips + GIVEAWAY
Hello! Today I am sharing tips for stamp layering stamp sets… and how to create many images at once. I really like this method and I am hoping it helps you, too.

Over the past couple years, I have shared many different ways to do stamp layering. By showing multiple ways, I am hoping that everyone can find a method that works best for them. Today’s is one of my favorite and one that I have done in make-n-takes in past shows. This method is excellent for making many images at once. (I always make more than one card at a time, so I love it.)
To understand how I was able to stamp all of these flowers and leaves at once, be sure to watch the video!
My first example features the incredibly gorgeous Altenew Build-A-Flower Sakura Blossoms Set (ALT | SSS). (These “Build-A-Flower” sets are sold with the stamps and dies together.) I stamped the flowers and leaves with Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, Heart Beat, Parrot, and Bamboo Altenew Inks (ALT | SSS). I created twigs from Altenew Create a Wreath Die (ALT | SSS) and added the pieces to a notecard covered with a Altenew Spring Shower Cover Die Cut (ALT | SSS). The sentiment is from the Altenew Hello Sunshine Stamp Set (ALT | SSS).
I like that the Altenew Build-A-Flower Sakura Blossoms Set (ALT | SSS) cuts out the images with no white trim. So cool…
I can’t get enough of these blossom images. Here I used Caribbean Sky, Persian Blue, Sapphire, Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, and Deep Iris Inks (ALT | SSS). The sentiment (which is one of my favorite sayings) is from the Altenew Build a Flower Gardenia Set (ALT | SSS).
Lucy’s Cards Chunky Rainbow Sparkle Jewels are the perfect touch for the center of these flowers! I added them and all the dimensional flowers with my new favorite adhesive – Gina K Connect Glue.
OOoooooooo… these blues make me swoon – Caribbean Sky, Persian Blue, and Sapphire (ALT | SSS). The sentiment is also from the Altenew Build a Flower Gardenia Set (ALT | SSS).
I also made a bunch of images using the new Altenew Build A Flower Peony Blossom Set (ALT | SSS). This is another set where the dies cut out the images with no white trim! I again used the Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, Heart Beat, Parrot, and Bamboo Altenew Inks (ALT | SSS) and added the pieces to a notecard covered with a Altenew Spring Shower Cover Die Cut (ALT | SSS). The “hello” is from the Flower Arrangement Die Set (ALT | SSS).
For these flowers I used Citrus Burst, Fresh Lemon, Honey Drizzle, Rubellite, Pinkalicious, and Pink Diamond Altenew Inks (ALT | SSS). The “thank you” is also from the Flower Arrangement Die Set (ALT | SSS).
For most of my flowers, I used Gina K Connect Glue and Scrapbook Adhesives Thin Foam Squares to give the petals a bit of dimension. On these next two examples, I adhered them flat. This takes less time and still looks good. For these flowers, I used Heart Beat, Vineyard Berry, Velvet, Persian Blue, and Sapphire Altenew Inks (ALT | SSS).
I have used the Altenew Spring Shower Cover Die (ALT | SSS) before (find the card HERE), but I just had to use it again. Such a gorgeous die and great for a tone-on-tone background.
Here we have Dew Drops, Aqualicious, and Teal Cave Altenew Inks (ALT | SSS). My colors…
The Altenew Build A Flower Peony Blossom Set (ALT | SSS) also look great stacked together to form dimensional flowers.
This method of stamping layering also works with traditional stamp and die sets where there is a white trim around the edge of the image. Here we have the Altenew Build a Flower Gardenia Set (ALT | SSS). Such a lovely flower in Dew Drops, Aqualicious, and Teal Cave Altenew Inks (ALT | SSS)…
I felt the flower in the Altenew Build a Flower Gardenia Set (ALT | SSS) worked nicely with the flower in the older Altenew Remember This Stamp Set (ALT | SSS). I used the same red and yellow inks as above…
This last example is the most simple to pull together and would be great as part of a card set. That yellow is so happy.
