Off-The-Edge Die Cut Cards
Hi there! Today I am sharing an off-the-edge die cut card design. This technique is great for creating cards that are one-of-a-kind.

Who said cards have to be simple shapes like rectangles? With a little bit of partial die cutting, you can have a one-layer card with a fun die cut edge.
My first example uses cats and dogs from the new Essentials by Ellen Cat Lady and Essentials by Ellen Dog Lady stamp sets. I like that these sets can be used together so easily! I used a partial die cutting technique to cut the top portion of four furry friends along the top of a card. (Be sure to watch the video to see how I did this!)
I colored the cuties with Copic Markers and added a sentiment to the front.
Here you can see how the card works. I added my stamped and die cut panel to the front of a short notecard. However, it still fits in my envelope with no problem. Simple!
For my second example, I used partial die cutting on the right edge of my card. The images are from the Essentials by Ellen Dog Lady Stamp Set. I again did some quick coloring and added a sentiment. This card is going to our girl in college.
On the inside of the card, I added little paw prints.
