Card & Product Showcase: Concord & 9th

Hi! I am back today with another Card & Product Showcase… this time featuring several Concord & 9th products. I also share a technique for adding texture to stamping.

A few days ago, I did a Card & Product Showcase… and I am back with another today. I won’t be doing these often, but thought it would be a great way to showcase several Concord & 9th products that I think are excellent. Most of them are from their newest release, but some are from previous ones and I just hadn’t had a chance to use them.

My first three cards showcase the versatility of the Concord & 9th Mosaic Turnabout Stamp (C9 | SSS). This stamp is amazing! You turn it and stamp it four times to get a colorful background. And you can even take the center out for more options! (Be sure to watch the video to better understand how it works.) For my first example, I used the inside and outside portion of the stamp together and created a colorful background using Gina K Designs Ink. I then used my Hero Arts Infinity Circle Dies and Spellbinders Embossing Mat to impress circles in the pattern.

For a bold sentiment, I stacked three black “fabulous friend” die cuts from the Concord & 9th Fabulous Phrases Dies (C9 | SSS)… and covered them with Tonic Aqua Shimmer Pen and Tonic Crystal Glaze. I also added little die cuts from the Concord & 9th Mosaic Turnabout Stamp (C9 | SSS) and Lucy’s Cards Candy Bright Pearls.

My second card also features the Concord & 9th Mosaic Turnabout Stamp (C9 | SSS)… but this time I just stamped the outside portion. In the center, I added a circle and ring cut from the Concord & 9th Everyday Circles Dies (C9 | SSS) and “just because” from the Concord & 9th Just Because Die Set (C9 | SSS).

Above and below the sentiment, you can see little stitched rays. That is from the Concord & 9th Everyday Circles Dies (C9 | SSS). I like how it draws attention to the sentiment. Oh – and I stamped the envelope flap with a large heart image from the Concord & 9th Love Always Stamp Set ( C9 | SSS).

My last card using the Concord & 9th Mosaic Turnabout Stamp (C9 | SSS) shows stamping the center portion only. I added impressed circles around it with Hero Arts Infinity Circle Dies and a Spellbinders Embossing Mat. The “hello” is from the Concord & 9th Everyday Circles Dies (C9 | SSS).

I also created a card with a different turnabout stamp – the Concord & 9th Heart Turnabout Stamp (C9 | SSS). This makes the perfect background of hearts!

I used the Concord & 9th Hearts and Love Die Set (C9 | SSS) to create the “love sentiment”… and impressed the thin love die with my Spellbinders Embossing Mat. The “you’re my favorite” is from the Concord & 9th Love You So Stamp Set (C9 | SSS). A sweet sentiment! The “love” hangs off the card, so I cut a little off the card width so it still fits in the envelope.

The new Concord & 9th Wonderful Florals Stamp (C9 | SSS) and Die Set (C9 | SSS) are simply brilliant. By using them, you can quickly create what looks like an elaborate card. I stamped the “wonderful” image with black ink and added quick coloring.

I also used the coordinating “wonderful” die and my Spellbinders Embossing Mat to impress the letters.

My last two cards feature the Concord & 9th Monogram Stamp Set (C9 | SSS) series. Yes – they have a mini stamp set for every letter of the alphabet plus a heart! The stamp sets come with the littler flower images to quickly stamp a floral cluster near the letter. So pretty!

I used a stitched rectangle die from the coordinating Concord & 9th Monogram Dies (C9 | SSS) along with my Spellbinders Embossing Mat to impress around the stamped block. I also added pearls and Tonic Aqua Shimmer Pen.

For the background, I used yet another turnabout – the Concord & 9th Polka Dot Turnabout Stamp (C9 | SSS).

  5. I have loved Concord & 9th since the beginning, unfortunately they have gotten too expensive for my limited income. I do enjoy seeing their products and your cards are lovely.

  6. Love the tip about using the laminated “turntable”. I had used your previous tip about having a 6×6 piece of card stock ready to use with the turnabouts, but the laminated turntable is a total gamechanger! Thanks for sharing!

  7. Thank you for this great video. Your cards are fantastic, of course, but in addition, you give us plenty information and tips. I love the turnabout stamps, I’ve got a few of them already (I will definitively buy the Mosaic version, it awesome) and I’m always happy to find inspiration to create cards with them.

  9. Jennifer,
I am crazy about these Turnabout stamps from Concord & 9th. You did a great job showing how easy it is to set up these stampings for further use. The Mosaic Turnabout is my favorite and I love the squares Turnabout you used in a previous tutorial. I also like how you used the word dies cut out three times and layered for a pronounced focal point on your cards. Thanks for this great tutorial.

  10. As always, wonderful creations Jennifer. Love the turn about stamp and the word dies. Love the envelope too.

  11. Really amazing products and your cards and ideas always blow me away. Thanks so much for taking your valuable time to share with us.

  12. Thank you for this wonderful tutorial video. All the things I know about stamping are from you. I love all the tips and inspiration you gave. You are a precious gift God gives to our stamping community. Thank you so much. I need to make a laminated “turn table”. Thanks for the tip !

  13. You and C&9 make such an awesome team Jennifer. The innovative releases from Angie & Greg really push us all in our love of papercrafting. (Who could possibly not like the awesome Turnabout series of stamps?!?!). Thanks for showcasing the versatility of this fabulous release with your gorgeous cards. Lila’s teachers probably fight over you from year to year!! Having you as the parent of one of their students would be like hitting the jackpot! lol Thanks for sharing and I hope you and Lila have fun crafting more cards this weekend. ~HUGS~

  14. Fabulous products by Concord & 9th! The mosaic turnabout stamp is my favorite! I love the initial card you made along with the heart one!

  15. Two surgeries next week will hopefully give relief from the severe pain resulting from major spinal rebuild 2 years ago If it works I will be able to put so many more of the techniques you’ve taught me into play. Prayers appreciated if you read this. :o)

  16. I’ve loved the concept of the turn about sets since the did the first one, but I don’t really stamp backgrounds (not sure why…) so didn’t look to buy one. Then I saw the polka dot one – and I have now changed my mind!

  17. Love all your videos. This one is so different and not one I would have selected, but after seeing you demonstrate, love it!

  18. Just love your videos! Keep them coming they are the highlight of my day when they come out. Great review of some fantastic products! I have just started playing around with my turnaround stamp sets and am having a great time.

  19. Thanks for another great video! Love all the cards you made! I have been making so many projects with the alphabet set so happy my husband encouraged me to get the set! I think I need the polka dots now.

  20. Hi Jennifer, I’ve never heard of Concornd and 9th before. Really loving their background stamps. Thanks again for another informative and inspirational video. I just want to tell you what a tremendous help your videos and blog have been for me. I’m fairly new to card stamping (I also have a Cricut machine) so I tend to combine them when making cards but there are soooo many products to choose from that it’s overwhelming when you are just getting started. It’s also extremely discouraging when you spend time on a card and it doesn’t turn out. You’ve shown me how to get the best results and what products will help achieve the best results through you videos and even your links to other blogs. I’m slowly picking up many of the things you’ve recommended. Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate and am thankful for you! Blessings.

  21. So many innovative products. That wonderful stamp is stunning and I love how you used the die to create the “puffy stickers” look.

  22. Fabulous cards Jennifer. The turnabouts are so fun to use!! I got the dahlia one and haven’t gotten around to using it yet 🙈 but I loved what you created with it! Lisa xx
