In and Out Cards + GIVEAWAY

Hello! Today I am sharing how to create “in and out cards”… tri-fold cards with images that show on the inside and outside. They are fun to make!

Today’s technique is nearly impossible to explain in text, so please check out the video to see how to make each of these cards.

I was really excited about the birthday images in the Pretty Pink Posh Birthday Friends Stamp Set (SSS | PPP) because they look just like my little Lila and her friend Sophie. I stamped, colored and cut out (right up against the edge of the stamping) the little girl images. I then used the coordinating dies to cut the windows on the front of the card.

The images are added inside of the card with foam adhesive. I also stamped another sentiment – this time from the Pretty Pink Posh Everyday Greetings Stamps (SSS |PPP).

Since the card is a tri-fold design, the inside flap opens up an reveal an area to write your personal message.

My next in-and-out card features the new Pretty Pink Posh Hummingbird Thanks Stamp Set (SSS | PPP) and a sentiment from the Pretty Pink Posh Love Sentiments Stamp Set (SSS | PPP). I did the same technique using the stamps and coordinating dies as I did on the last example. I really like how this technique offers dimension and die cut windows – two of my favorite things!

On the inside flap, we have the birds added with foam adhesive, and a sentiment from the Pretty Pink Posh Thoughtful Greetings Stamp Set (SSS | PPP).

And again, the inside flap opens for an area to write a message inside.

The new Pretty Pink Posh Pretty Petunias Stamp Set (SSS |PPP) is beautiful and easy to color. It also works great for this in-and-out card design. The sentiment is also from the Pretty Pink Posh Love Sentiments Stamp Set (SSS | PPP).

On the inside flap, I stamped “always” from the same Pretty Pink Posh Love Sentiments Stamp Set (SSS | PPP). Oh – and I added tiny white dot details to the flower with my White Gelly Roll Pen.

My next example is a bit more involved, but worth the effort! I again used the Pretty Pink Posh Pretty Petunias Stamp Set (SSS |PPP) but this time with colored ink for a softer look. I adhered a Pretty Pink Posh Hello Friend Die (SSS | PPP) die cut to the front of the card. It looks like it is floating over the flowers!

On the inside flap, I stamped a greeting from the Pretty Pink Posh Thoughtful Greetings Stamp Set (SSS | PPP).

This card also has a tri-fold design, but opens differently. Works just as well! You could do this in-and-out technique with any stamps and coordinating dies.

If you want to try a super fast in-and-out card design, try this next one! I stamped a bird from the Pretty Pink Posh Hummingbird Thanks Stamp Set (SSS | PPP) on the front of a card and in the same spot on the inside. I die cut the bird on the front and the one on the inside shows through! This is much faster than cutting out the images like I did on the cards above. (However, I prefer the look of the popped-up images.)

Since I kept the images towards the bottom of the inside of the card, there is room to write a message above it. Therefore, I didn’t do the tri-fold design this time.
