Card wraps are popular in the wedding invitation and fancy stationery world, so I thought it was time to create a few here! I share several design options using the Simon Says Stamp Modern Flower Card Wrap Die… and also one that you can do with supplies you likely already have.
Creating a card wrap is very easy with the Simon Says Stamp Modern Flower Card Wrap Die. Be sure to watch the video to see how! The result is 4.25″ x 4.25″ and has lots of detail. I tied this one close with ribbon.
When you open the wrap, there is a 4″x4″ white card with simple white die cuts. That gorgeous “hello beautiful” sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Gorgeous Die Set, and the flowers and leaves are from the Simon Says Stamp Modern Flowers Die Set.
This second card design has a vellum band around it instead of a ribbon. (This option is more mailing-friendly.) On the vellum, I white heat embossed a Simon Says Stamp Stained Glass Love Stamp Set sentiment.
The recipient just slides the vellum band off to open the pink card wrap to show the white card inside. I again used the Simon Says Stamp Modern Flowers Die Set and Simon Says Stamp Modern Flower Card Wrap Die.
You can also double up two card wrap pieces to create a new design! This one also has a cardstock band around it… with a paper bow made with the Simon Says Stamp Perfect Bow Die.
After you remove the band, the card wraps open up to reveal the mini card inside. To decorate the card, I cut out little flowers and leaves from a Simon Says Stamp Modern Flower Card Wrap Die Cut… and added a Simon Says Stamp I Love You Die Cut.
You can also make card wraps using supplies you likely already have. I used a large circle die (you could also trace and cut a circle) to create this next example. I also white heat embossed the Simon Says Stamp Star Flower Stamp on the flaps for a bit of interest.
In the video I show how to add the ribbon *into* the wrap so it doesn’t fall off. I also used white pearl embossing powder to heat emboss a Simon Says Stamp Stained Glass Love Stamp Set sentiment onto the white card inside.
I also have a bonus card showing another way to use the Simon Says Stamp Modern Flower Card Wrap Die… but not for a wrap. I die cut two and added them onto a 5″x5″ card. The sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp You Got This Stamp Set.
