Hello! Today I am sharing how you can create windows for stamped images using the coordinating dies. I share a trick that makes it simple!

First of all – you will have to forgive my terrible lighting in the photos and video. The lighting wasn’t cooperating and the weather was moody! But the embossing on these cards? Amazing in real life.
If you look closely at my first card, you can see that the stamped images are set back, but the piece with the die cut windows is raised. The dimension adds a lot of interest! I started by heat embossing flowers from the Altenew Frosted Garden Stamp Set (SSS | ALT) onto a Altenew Spicy Yogurt Cardstock notecard. I used four metallic embossing powders – Altenew Rose Gold, Copper, Silver, and Platinum. These powders are amazing! To create the coordinating die cut window panel, I used a trick with vellum and the coordinating Altenew Frosted Garden Dies (ALT | SSS). It is easy – watch the video to find out how!
After adding the die cut panel with Scrapbook Adhesives Thin Foam Squares, it was time for a sentiment. I used the beautiful “hello” die from the Altenew Flower Arrangement Die Set (ALT | SSS). After stacking a few of the die cuts together, I covered the stacked dies cuts with several layers of Altenew Copper Embossing Powder (ALT | SSS).
My next card uses the same Altenew Frosted Garden Stamp Set (SSS | ALT) and technique. However, this time I heat embossed the one floral image with three powders – Altenew Rose Gold, Silver, and Platinum – for a metallic blended look. I added a copper heat embossed “thank you” from the Altenew Flower Arrangement Die Set (ALT | SSS) and several Studio Katia Silver Foil Crystals.
By the way, the Simon Says Stamp Metallic Envelopes match perfectly!
