Tulle is so soft and pretty… and inexpensive! It works great for cardmaking. (Check out THIS video I did a few weeks ago.) Today I show how to create soft shaker cards with it.

I first die cut a window on the front of my card with the circle from the Studio Katia Dotted Balloon Die set. I then sandwiched in two pieces of tulle and lots of sequins. I like that the tulle is inexpensive, non-bulky, soft, and sheer!

I white heat embossed the Studio Katia Together We Bloom flowers on watercolor paper before covering it with Distress Ink. (Colors linked in thumbnails below.) I then sprayed it heavily with a Perfect-Pearl-and-water mix and let it dry. It blends on its own! I cut them out and added them to the card along with a gold glitter Studio Katia Dotted Frames bow die cut.

I gold heat embossed the Studio Katia The Fox Says sentiment directly on the card and added more sequins. Oh – that background cardstock is shimmery in real life. I love how classy it looks! It is from the Neenah Metallic Cardstock variety pack.

I created  a second card but put the die cut circle on the edge of the card. For this, I folded the tulle in half. I thought a floating-edge shaker card would be fun!

By the way, I used a few different sequins from Studio Katia, including Misty Rose Flowers, Pearl Flower, and Majestic Fusion Sequins. So soft and pretty!
