Hi there! Today’s video shares how to do vellum stamp layering. This is a great way to layer with only one ink color! I am also participating in Altenew’s 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop.
I really enjoy stamp layering stamp sets… they give such realistic results. However, I am always looking for new and creative ways to use them. Today’s tip of using vellum makes layering simple and requires only one ink color!
The Altenew Camellia Stamp Set is a gorgeous set with a large flower and cluster of leaves… and perfect for showcasing vellum stamp layering. I stamped the first/solid layer on cardstock with a dark ink. I then stamped the next two layers with the same ink on vellum and clear heat embossed. It is easy to line up the images this way! After adhering them together, I die cut them with the coordinating die.
For the first card, I used Altenew Lagoon Dye Ink for the flower and Altenew Moss Dye Ink for the leaves. I added them to a card along with a stitched frame and (discontinued) gold embellishments. Oh – and I added a layered bud from the Altenew Garden Treasures Stamp Set.
This next example features Altenew Firebrick Dye Ink. I really like that this technique only requires one ink for a layered flower.
I also created one card with a bit of a different design. That lovely purple color is from Altenew Deep Iris Dye Ink.
Oh – and don’t forget the matching envelopes with a white heat embossed sentiment from the Altenew Camellia Stamp Set.
I hope you try this vellum stamp layering technique. It works with most layering stamp sets and gives a new look!
Today I am honored to be part of Altenew’s 3rd Anniversary Blog Hop. I was a part of their first blog hop when they started (you can see the video HERE). I remember how excited I was for my friends Tasnim and Jen to start the company and I am so very proud of their success today!
