When I saw the new Concord & 9th Triangle Turnabout Stamp, I was so giddy! I enjoy innovative products… I think it is the engineer in me. I decided to use the new background stamp to create clear cards with a see-through die cut.

The Concord & 9th Triangle Turnabout Stamp allows you to create a background full of color triangles simply by stamping it in one color then turning it and stamping in other… four times. The results are amazing! In the video I show how to create a “turntable” to use when stamping the Concord & 9th Triangle Turnabout Stamp. (Thanks to Angie over at Concord & 9th for showing it to me last week in person. I couldn’t wait to play with it!) While you can use it to create a colorful background, I chose to use it for shiny, monochromatic look instead.

For the pool card, I started with Lawn Fawn Mermaid Cardstock and embossed the Concord & 9th Triangle Turnabout Stamp twice – once with sparkle embossing powder and once with pearl embossing powder. I also stamped it twice – once with Lawn Fawn Minty Fresh Dye Ink and once with Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink. I end up with a custom background with lots of texture and shine.

For the coral card I did the same but used Lawn Fawn Guava Cardstock and Lawn Fawn Peachy Keen Dye Ink. Look at that background. Swoon!

In the video I share how to create a clear card without any adhesive showing. The Hero Arts Acetate Clear Cards are wonderful and I have used them for years. They are thick and perfectly clear.

For the die cut sentiment, I used the new Concord & 9th Cuddles & Hugs Dies. This die set has many pieces that create a layered “hugs” sentiment. You can use them in many ways. Here, I used them to create a see-through element on the front of the card.

Under the “hugs” die cut, I used Black Stazon Ink to stamp “from me to you” from the Concord & 9th Many Mandalas Stamp Set. I wanted to keep this subtle and therefore just did it right on top of the background.

To add some more shine, I added a thin Silver Glitter Cardstock “hugs” die cut and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix sequins. I really like these sequins because they don’t have holes.
