Swipe Stamping + Blog Hop + GIVEAWAYS
Hi! Today I am revisiting an old technique that is simple and requires very few supplies. I call it swipe stamping. I also am part of an awesome blog hop with HUGE prizes!

Who says you have to stamp the same way every time!? Here I show how you can get a textured result with solid images by swiping ink on the stamp instead of tapping. Works great!
My first example shows using the Hero Arts Birthday Animal Silhouettes Stamp Set for a playful background. You can see the variation and texture in each of the animals. It is simply a different look that is easy to achieve.
I used Hero Arts Ultra Pink, Orange Soda, Butter Bar, Green Hills, Antiqua, and Cornflower Inks for the animals. I also added Soft Granite stars and covered them with Wink of Stella Shimmer to make them look metallic.
I white heat embossed the “make a wish” sentiment from the Hero Arts Birthday Messages Stamp Set on Gina K Moonlit Fog Cardstock. I also covered it with Wink of Stella Shimmer. And those mini googly eyes? They are such fun!
I used the same technique and ink colors to create the background on my next cards. The balloons and sentiment are from the Hero Arts Birthday Celebration Stamp Set.
Instead of using foam adhesive to add the sentiment strip, I used a Mini Action Wobble Spring. Wobblers are great for lots of movement. And the best thing is that they flatten nicely for mailing.
BLOG HOP
