Welcome December! Today’s video shares some tips for layering inks and stamps using my favorite holiday stamp set… and a fun Advent Calendar Extravaganza with Taheerah Atchia. (More on this awesome event below – you will love it.)
I am always looking for ways to make my stamped images look more realistic. One great way is to use layering stamps. And I gotta say… the Sunny Studio Holiday Style Stamp Set is the best! That bell? Amazing.
I also added a realistic look to the one-layered pine branch image by stamping it first in green then stamping again with darker green and brown marker on only parts of the stamp. This is very easy to do with a stamp positioner, such as the awesome MISTI.
I also added shine to all the stamping with heat embossing. After stamping all the layers with colored inks, I stamped on top again with Versamark and added the clear powder. Works like a charm and makes the bell shine! The sentiments are from the My Favorite Things Hand Lettered Christmas and Right At Home Deerest Friends stamp sets.
