Let’s get started! Today I am focusing on stamps and stamp care/essentials. I have two videos.

I have TWO videos today. One on stamps and the other on stamp care. First up? Stamps!

[Warning: This video is long. You can instead just check out the stamps below. All products are linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails. Affiliate links may be used. To watch the video in HD on YouTube, click HERE.]

If you are interested in any products, click on one of the abbreviations under the product images… SSS for Simon Says Stamp, EH for Ellen Hutson or the manufacturer’s abbreviation.

Let’s get started with stamps…

The most important element on any card is the sentiment. Therefore a good collection of greeting stamps is helpful! Here are a few that won me over this year:

Background stamps are so very versatile and great for techniques. Check out these great options:

I am so glad many companies are continuing to develop stamps that layer or build on each other. By stamping images together and/or layered, you can easily get results that look dimensional and realistic. These are good ones to try:

We can’t leave stamp-and-die combos off the list! Try these:

After putting so much love into a handmade card, it is always fun to decorate the envelope, too. Here are a few sets perfect for that:

And finally, here are a few other must-have stamps that have won me over and I think you will like too…

If you are looking for the card examples I shared in this video, you can enter the product name in the “search” bar at the top of my blog and you will find them!

  1. I own a number of the stamp sets you highlighted! It made me feel like I have good taste! Lol! I love the You stamp, background stamp, and die from SSS. It’s such a nice set and I feel the background stamp adds an extra something to card designs. All the sayings ate so caring and comforting. It would make anyone receiving a card with it feel better, and know you care about them.

  2. I agree with the many other posters leaving comments here that it is really hard to pick just one set. But the one I put on my wish list is the MFT Essential Sentiments. So versatile and can be used for so many different cards! If only it were in stock!!

  3. Really loving this series! So many great stamps to choose from, but my fave is the MFT essentials. I think they are so versatile and would look great on many different styles of cards.

  4. My favourite stamp set is the MFT All Occasion Sentiments Stamps as it has a variety of bold cursive font sentiments for different occasions!

  5. I love the SSS circle doodles background stamp. When I first saw it I was trying to decide how that would be used, especially for Christmas cards. Then I saw all the projects in the blog hop and was blown away. The colors used were stunning and I began to see how beautiful and amazing that stamp really is! Thank you for the chance to win!

  6. Thanks so much for highlighting your favorites! I use sentiment stamps the most, so now I have some new items on my wish list- Hero Arts essential messages, MFT all occasion sentiments, and Concord and 9th Perfectly Penned are at the top of the list!

  7. First of all I want to say thanks for doing this again especially without your craft area being intact! I watch these every year. I like the MFT Geometric Greenery because it is different and I would not have paid much attention to it but seeing what you did with it made me notice it.

  8. All the stamps are great, especially the sentiment stamps. I really love Concord and 9th, Perfectly Penned. My handwriting is atrocious so being able to address envelopes and add custom sentiments to cards would be super helpful.

  9. I really like the idea of decorating the envelope as well as the card, so Hero Arts happy mail stamps are on my list, as well as the layering stamps, and any of the combos. I love having a stamp with matching die to complete the look.

  10. Oh golly to choose just a single favorite is tough indeed! If I absolutely had to choose a favorite, I’d say the Perfectly Penned stamp set by Concord and 9th is my pick! I am practicing my lettering, but this set just makes everything you use on it beautiful. Thanks so much, Jennifer, for sharing all these favorites! I particularly liked the “sentiments” suggestions. So sooo helpful and I love these suggestions!

  11. Clearly Besotted from All of Us is now on my must have list. I am over the moon excited that I ordered my first MISTI on Friday. Squirmy with anticipation for it to come in the mail.

  12. I love the Circle Doodles, Dot Moire, & Bundle of Blossoms background stamps. Your ideas for them were really cool.

  13. My stamp collection lacks sentiment stamps. I love the Honey Bee “thanks and Giving” stamps as well as the SUnny Studio Holidy Style stamps and the Right At home Script Greetings stamp. Would love to used the “Blessed” stamp

  14. Actually I love the Altenew stamps thanks to one of your videos I`ve fallen in love with their layering stamps and love their ink sets. I did the vellum layering card.Big hit with friends and gave one to a lady who was in the hospital .She Loved it!

  15. The Hero Arts Dots Moire background stamp. I feel like it could be used for any occasion. I also love the cats and dogs set from Tim Holtz. It is so fun.

  16. So many beautiful choices for stamps and how could you every pick just one as a favorite but since I have to pick, My Favorite Things Bold Blooms Stamps could be at the top of the list. Any layered flower stamp set would be a pick because I love to stamp and color flowers. They work for almost all occasions and cards. Thanks!

  17. My favorite is the Altenew Tulip layering set. I love tulips and they remind me of Spring. I look forward to them every year!

  18. I have way too many stamp sets, but somehow just NEVER enough. Way too many new “must haves” just keep getting better every year. … month!!!?

  19. So much information to process. I rediscovered paper crafting last year after about a 25 year hiatus. Your videos have jump started my creativity so much! My favorite set you showed is the Tim Holtz Mini Crazy Cats and Dogs. But there are so many I would like to have. Thank You so much!

  20. Not sure if I should be excited or dismayed to have so many more things to add to my wish lists! 😉 If I absolutely have to pic a favorite, I’d go with MFT Make a Wish. I’ve been wanting that set for awhile. 🙂

  21. I knew that I would have to choose my favorite stamp set before I started and unfortunately I quickly found that I was listing every stamp set. I’m a fan of the stamp/die combos. I make a lot of sympathy cards for my non-cardmaking friends to use so like Hero Arts one that has the prayer die/stamp. I also have 4 grandsons who would really get a kick out of the Silly monsters. Thanks again Jennifer for your time and energy to show us infinite possibilities with cardmaking.

  22. It is really hard to pick just one as there are so many nice ones. But, after seeing the video I did order the Altenew Tulip Stamp Set. This is my first layering stamp set. I may need to order Mama Elephant Incoming Mail Stamps. Those stamps are so cute. Jennifer, so glad I found your website. I have been making cards for the past eight years and it is nice to learn new techniques and products.

  23. Hard to pick. I want all! I like the background stamps and Lawn fawn big scripty words. Thanks for all you do and keep spreading kindness. <3

  24. Now that I have done my first card making project, my next step is to take care of all of my Christmas stamps and dies so they will be ready to go when I start making Christmas cards again next year. Thank you so much for all of your recommendations and where to find each one! Even buying things for organization and taking care of my things is almost as exciting as getting the stamps and dies!

  25. Perfectly penned would probably be my go to set when I need words spelled out. Love the variety in that set as well!

  26. MFT Essential Sentiments Stamps. I have yet to try this stamp set and it was sold out from every store when I was looking for it. This stamp set has every basic sentiment that you could need, and it’s in a font that can be use with everything. I love stamps that aren’t limiting to one purpose.

  27. Avery Elle sentiment stamp would be my pick. Always needing sentiments that are versatile for various occasions.

  28. My favorite stamp set from the ones above is the Simon Says Stamp “Thankful Hearts Stamp Set.” Thank you for your video and for the opportunity for the give-away.
