Pattern Stamping + Sparkle Coloring + Hero Arts Love + Blog Hop + Giveaway!

Hi! Today’s video shows pattern stamping and sparkle coloring… and much more! Along with a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen Color Chart, I also share the story of how Hero Arts made this stamping community so great. And one more thing… this post is part of a fun coloring challenge hop.

In this video, I tell the story of how I feel Hero Arts has made a great and positive impact on our industry and many artists. I also show how you can use your MISTI for pattern stamping and Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens for shiny coloring.

I will be honest – the pattern stamping technique is best understood by watching it in action in the video. I used the Hero Arts Friends by Lia Stamp Set for the gold embossed sentiment in the center, and the Hero Arts Just for You by Lia Stamp Set for the flowers radiating from the center.

I made several examples (you can never have enough cards to send!), changing the design and colors each time.

This technique works with pretty much any stamps. It is a great way to use many images from one set, too.

On some of the cards, I filled the space with pattern stamping. In others, I left lots of white space.

By the way, if you don’t have a MISTI, check out THIS video on doing this technique with an acrylic block.

You could color this with any markers you have. I used the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens because I thought the added shimmer would be fun with the gold embossing.

I tell ya – I had such fun creating these. Not sure which my favorite is!

I put together a FREE color chart download for the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens. These pens have color and shimmer and are fun for taking on-the-go. (I still really like the Wink of Stella Shimmer Pens – whose tip I actually like better – but these have a touch more shimmer.)

Click HERE for the free download.

Here is the color chart filled in. I have all but one color and am hoping I didn’t miss any! Oh – and below the color name I put which 3-color pack it is from. (You can find the markers HERE.)

Remember – you can mix these colors together as you use them! You can learn more about these pens in THIS video.

Like my last post, this post is part of “The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge” Blog Hop… this time celebrating Hero Arts. Kathy Racoosin from The Daily Marker is hosting her FIFTH 30 Day Coloring Challenge. The idea is to color something every day – even if just for a few minutes! You can find more info in THIS video. #TheDailyMarker30Day!

The next stop on the hop is the blog of the gal responsible for turning me into a stamper – the wonderful Shari Carroll. You can always head back to Kathy’s blog, too.

At the end of the hop you will find an awesome GIVEAWAY from Hero Arts. 2 shopping sprees of $25.00 each! Winners will be randomly picked from the blog comments of the blog hop. For your chance, leave a comment below by 11:59pmEST on 7/18/16 telling me if you have ever used Hero Arts products. Their stamps. Just today I was looking at a lovely stamp set of greetings and I noticed that thy were from Hero
Arts. Are they located in California? Is that where you were Jennifer when you worked for them?
Or were you in Ohio? Just wondering. Do you think it is possible for someone new to jump in now? There seem to be a lot of companies now… A whole lot.
