Guest Artist: Stamped Watercolor with Marika Rahtu
Hello and welcome! One of my favorite things to do on my blog is to share the work of fellow cardmakers who I admire. Today I have a very special guest artist – Marika Rahtu – sharing how to elevate a simple stamped image using watercolor.

Marika is from Finland and I am mesmerized by her videos. I’m impressed by how she takes limited supplies and turns them into masterpieces. I encourage you to visit her blog and YouTube channel. I am certain she will quickly become a favorite of yours, too.
On her card for today’s video, Marika started by “stamping” a Altenew Lacy Scrolls flower with a light Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pen on watercolor paper. The image is not perfect or crisp but this does not matter – she is simply using it as a guide for her watercolor. Using just two Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and a bit of water, Marika “traced” the stamped image and created her own watercolor masterpiece. So beautiful! I like how she kept the rest of her card clean and simple to keep the focus on the stunning flowers. She added a bit of interested with irRESISTible Embellisher dots.
Thanks so much Marika for sharing your talents. I’m your biggest fan!
