Overlap Stamping + Blog Hop + Giveaway
Hello again! Today’s video shows how to overlap stamping to create colorful, fun backgrounds. I am also playing along in a blog hop with giveaways!

These bold backgrounds were created by stamping a stripe image from the Simon Says Stamp Jumbo Stripes stamp set repeatedly in different colors… and overlapping a bit each time. I used Lawn Fawn Dye Inks, but any dye ink would be great. Where the colors overlap, a new color is formed and they blend together.
For the card on the left, I also added a few thinner stripes stamped with white pigment ink. This adds even more interest. Love! The piece on the right doesn’t have the white stamping.
After creating the backgrounds and trimming them down, I white heat embossed the new Simon Says Stamp Spring Flowers on top. Those flowers are stunning! I also embossed sentiments from the Simon Says Stamp Friendship Blooms Stamp set.
I wanted to keep the rest of the card simple, but felt a plain white notecard was a bit to plain. Therefore, I added three diagonal faux stitched lines with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders Die.
I hope you try this technique. But don’t blame me if you get sucked in and make a billion backgrounds. I am warning you now it is addictive. 😉
