Stamp Layering With Coordinating Dies + Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello again! Today I show a way to create stamp layering by using coordinating dies. I also am part of another blog hop with my favorite company… with giveaways.

Stamp layering is all the rage right now… where a stamp set offers several images to stamp on top of each other for a layered look. However, there are still some great stamps out there without layering. So today I show how to create some layering with your coordinating dies.

I used the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely dies to cut shapes from craft foam. After temporarily adhering them to blocks, I stamped the solid background layers with bold Kelly Purkey Inks. I am amazed how well the craft foam stamps! (To see more craft foam stamping in action, check out THIS video and THIS one.)

Next I stamped the coordinating Hero Arts You’re So Lovely stamp images with Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink. Before it dried, I dusted on a small amount of Perfect Pearls to give it shine. (You can easily wipe away the excess with a Swiffer cloth. This is a handy crafting-clean-up tool!)

The layering is so soft and pretty. This is a great card for mass-production.

I also used a variety of sentiments from the Hero Arts Acts of Kindness Stamps stamp set… along with a few scattered hearts and pearls. For a finishing touch, I covered black cardstock with Stick It and created thin strip accents. And don’t forget to stamp a matching envelope!

This technique can be used with any stamps that you have the coordinating dies for. I hope you will try it. If you do, please let me know!

UPDATE

I do have a Product Release Close-Up Video in the works for the newest Hero Arts products. There are so many good ones! However, since it is a large release – and I am a momma first-and-foremost – it is taking me a lot of time. Hope to get it done and posted soon – stay tuned! (In the meantime, you can find them at Simon Says Stamp, Ellen Hutson, or Hero Arts.)

BLOG HOP

A few weeks ago, Hero Arts released a load of awesome new products. (Again, you can find them at Simon Says Stamp or Ellen Hutson.) I think it is wonderful that Hero Arts lets retailers sell it first and are just now making it available in their store. To celebrate, they are having a fun 2016 Catalog Blog Hop today!

Hero Arts has been a part of my stamping life since the beginning. I am incredibly thankful for the friendships they have formed in this industry and the doors they have opened for many other stamping companies and designers. Good people. I am very proud of them – this release is one of the best in a very long time!

The next person on the hop is my dear, talented friend Yana Smakula. You can also start at the beginning of the hop on the Hero Arts Blog.
