Awhile back, I shared a kindness package I created to send out to friends in honor of my Share Handmade Kindness Challenge. In it, I included a set of what I call “random quotes of kindness” cards that I had printed. These little notes are great for placing in your child’s lunch box, on a stranger’s windshield, or just to have on hand to give out to someone who needs a little pick me up. My friend is currently selling them on Etsy HERE, but I also wanted to share a way that you can create your own.

For my little “random quotes of kindness,” I used a Simon Says Stamp speech bubble die. However, you can use any basic shape die, punch or cut piece. Small stamped images are fun for these little cards, so I used a few planner stamp sets by Sakuralala and paired them with sentiments from Clearly Besotted. I did some quick coloring of all the images with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

If you don’t have planner stamp sets, take another look at the stamp sets you already have. Many of them include tiny images that would be perfect for creating these cards. I plan on having the teachers at my kid’s school write notes on the back and pass them out at other schools that don’t have a lot of parent support to provide encouragement. However, I am completely *in love* with these little stamps from Sakuralala!

  1. When i was living with my little sister i used to leave a note in her lunch everyday or hide them in her pencil box. it got to the point where she’d ask me every morning “so, where did you hide it today?” and i had to get very sneaky about them.

    Thanks for the inspiration

  2. I like to leave surprise notes in the teacher’s mailboxes at the school where I work, and also on Valentines Day I hide hearts in my husband’s stuff – briefcase, coat pocket, etc.

  7. Hi Jennifer! thanks for this opportunity. I love sending cards to people for random reasons…birthdays are almost “expected’ (except in this day of social media) so I usually will just pick a day, open my address book, and find a person to send a note to. I don’t know if they ever appreciate it, but it makes me happy to do it…
    Thanks again!
