I have a new goal this year and it’s to make more than one card at at a time when I’m creating… so I made five cards using today’s technique. It is a fun one.

I die cut the Pretty Pink Posh curved stitched border die several times from a rainbow of colored cardstock. By placing the die right up against the edge of the previous cut, I get strips of curved cardstock that resemble rays of a rainbow. I adhered them to a piece of white cardstock so they would be one piece and sturdy enough to add dimensional adhesive on the back.

If you have other border dies – say a chevron or scallop – you could create a fun background in a similar way.

I wanted to have lots of the new Pretty Pink Posh Iridescent Mini Star Confetti in the background, so I applied random dots of Ranger Multi Medium Matte Adhesive and sprinkled the confetti on top. I used a piece of acetate to press them down so they would lay flat. This is an easy way to apply lots of tiny sequins at once.

On a few cards, I used bigger sequins instead. (These blue sequins are from the Pretty Pink Posh Share Handmade Kindness Sequins pack. Part of the profits from this set go to the Kind Campaign!) For larger sequins, I strategically place dots of Ranger Multi Medium Matte Adhesive and use my Quickstik tool to place them down.

I also added a few die cut clouds from a Pretty Pink Posh… and a sentiment from the Pretty Pink Posh Rainy Days Stamps.

In the video I also shared a very helpful tip on finding the best position for a stamped sentiment with acetate. Be sure to check it out!

  3. I’ve been a Jennifer YouTube fan & just started reading your blog. Yowza! I’m hooked! So many great ideas ❤️

  4. Not only was this a great video for showing us how to stretch our border dies but the tips for adding tiny sequin stars was great, too. Probably my favorite tip, however, was the one for stamping the sentiment on clear plastic/acetate to help with deciding on placement. I struggle with that all the time and this is a simple but effective way to take the stress out of the process. Thanks for sharing!

  5. Hi Jennifer! Which of the small “picker” tools would you use for picking up small pieces of things like broken ceramic cups? Would the Jewel Picker do that, or would Quickstik be better for pieces that are not flat on top like jewels? I find that I have to keep a gluing/repair station in the house and would really like a tool that can place and hold small pieces while they set in place 30-60 sec. Fingers shake a bit due to heart beat vibration. Since you’ve tried so many tools, surely you might have a suggestion. LOVE your blog! Thank you.
