My Favorite Crafty Things 2015: COLORING + Giveaway

Hello there and welcome back to My Favorite Crafty Things 2015.

In this series, I will have many crafting videos showing products I recommend. I have a lot to share, including big giveaways (see below) and even store discounts:

  • Simon Says Stamps is offering my readers 10% off site-wide using the code “JenCrafty” from 12/1/15 until 11:59pmEST on 12/15/15.
  • Ellen Hutson is offering my readers 10% off site-wide using the code “jensfaves” from 12/1/15 until 11:59pmEST on 12/12/15.
  • As you are shopping, please keep in mind that these stores and many of the stamp manufacturers had HUGE sales last week so inventory may be low. Please know that they have already placed re-orders!

Today is all about coloring.

There really are more coloring tools that I do like. However, I tried to limit my list to things I think others would like and that I use most.

Also, this list of Favorite Crafty Things may also be used as a gift guide. Feel free to give this link to a loved one. You can keep up to date on all the topics HERE… and for my lists from 2014, click HERE.

  1. I’ve mostly used copics for coloring, but have also used Prismacolor pencils with gamsol. Recently I’ve found that I enjoy watercoloring. It isn’t nearly as difficult as I expected. It’s nice to have so many options!

  2. I love all of the new recommendations this year. I have put some of them in my Christmas wishlist. Thank you.

  3. I don’t have one favorite, there are too many cool ways to color. I like the convienence of water color pencils, the brightness of markers and the fun of distress inks. Paints, crayons, chalk, pastels and inks are all great. Choosing just one would be like eating just one Lays potato chip!

  4. I just recently started making cards. My life previously was consumed with taking care of a micro preemie. So, it has been nice to watch your videos and have a “me moment”. I love using Prismacolor, for the sole reason that it what I have. One day, hopefully I will be able to purchase some of the other coloring items you’ve suggested.

  5. i still like to use colored pencils when i need to get something done right away. when i have time i like to try to become more adept with copics or watercolors.

  6. As always your tips are so helpful. Thank you for all of your information. A few months back I was in a scrapbook store in Phoenix and I mentioned your name to the owner and she told me that whatever you feature on your blog/videos is always requested in her store and sells out. Thank you also for an opportunity to win.

  7. I am definitely an amature at coloring and watching your you tubes to try to improve. Your videos are so much help giving us your view on where to start before investing a lot of money. Thank you

  8. I am interested in purchasing some copic markers. I thought you said you had a list of the colors you use, but I could not find it. Please post a list of your most used copic colors. Thank you,

  9. I love playing with the Real Brush watercolors. If I win I’ll share these with my son (in college with some intense sciences and he does art to relax, these would be great as a “togo” kit)
