Worth Checking Out + Giveaways!

Hello! I just wanted to pop in to share some things that are worth checking out – many of which go along with the Share Handmade Kindness Challenge. Oh, and I have a giveaway!

(1.) Sunshine Boxes – You MUST check this out! My partner-in-sharing-handmade-kindness Heather Ruwe has shared a video that is just spectacular. She put together several “Sunshine Boxes” to send to loved ones. Her video shows lots of ideas (including a box for adults and a box for kids)… and she even has a great crafty box GIVEAWAY. I can’t say enough about how great her projects are! Check them out HERE.

(2.) Holiday Style Online Card Class – The next Online Card Class starts on Monday and it is all about different holiday styles. Julie and Kristina are leading the class… I decided to take a back seat this time due to family stuff, my new website, and my lack of mojo. 🙂 However, I do have a video in the class and an LOVING what the artists did in this class. And, as always, you can take the class anytime – you get lifetime access. For a sneak peek or to sign up, head HERE.

(3.) Laura Bassen – Want to smile? Head over and watch Laura’s video HERE. Not only does she create a gorgeous, happy card, her adorable (and big!) family gets involved in sharing handmade kindness. Perfection.

(4.) MFT Gives Back – My dear friends at My Favorite Things are also working to spread kindness this month! They are hosting MFT Gives Back and will be sharing ideas of how you can give, share, and show compassion to those around you. This week they showed how to create “Blessings Bags” – an incredible way to show compassion to those in need. Please check it out HERE!

(5.) 30 Blanket How-To – Many of you mentioned that you like to also sew. Therefore, I thought I would share this great tutorial that is so simple that even I can do it! Ha. This is another example of how to share handmade kindness with others. Check out the tutorial HERE. (By the way, this is from Tauni Everett’s blog. She is a blogging expert. If you are looking to grow your blog, spend some time there!)

(6.) Altenew – My friend Tasnim created a stunning card using Altenew (her company) and the Hero Arts Act of Kindness stamp set. It is beautiful. It makes me so happy how many stamp companies are embracing this challenge. The Altenew blog is wonderful, by the way, so be sure to look around THERE.

(7.) May Flaum – May created a bunch of colorful cards and a video to go along with the Share Handmade Kindness Challenge. This watercolor example is my favorite, but be sure to check them all out HERE. Inspiring and full of kindness!

(8.) Holiday Images To Print – I can’t get over how cute THESE digi images are! All you do is purchase, print, and color. Adorable. They were designed by a great cardmaker named Elena, so they are perfect for cards.

(9.) New Distress Ink – Oooooo la la! I am head over heels for the newest Distress Ink color, Lucky Clover. This one will move fast, so be sure to get yours on reserve. I think it will look great with Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch!

(10.) Dawn Woleslagle’s Instagram – There are a lot of things I don’t know. A lot. But one thing I do know for sure is that everyone *needs* to follow Dawn on Instagram. This girl shares the most magnificent pieces of work – cards, paintings, Copic coloring, and more. She also owns WPlus9 and has a heart the size of Montana. And she’s funny. And kind. And encouraging. And pretty. Yep, she is one of those 🙂 and I am inspired by her daily.

(11.) Winne and Walter – Wow. The newest release from Winnie and Walter is their best yet with something to offer everyone. Be sure to check them out HERE. I am looking forward to getting these stamps inky soon!

I hope these inspire you! (And as always, I share these things because I like them, not because I was asked to share them.) See you soon!

  1. I haven’t had a chance to craft since Thursday night. But I did order some new stamping goodies including the Handmade Kindness set. Thanks for the chance to win!

  2. I work full time all week and make it a priority to spend time crafting on the weekend. That keeps me sane and makes me smile especially when I create something to share handmade kindness. Thank you Jennifer for this wonderful challenge and sharing all your creations.

  3. Today I made my 1st shaker card! 🙂 It’s my sharing kindness card (for last week’s challenge). I’m a little late, but my aunt will enjoy it anyway. 🙂

Thanks for all the great tips.

  4. I didn’t craft this weekend as we were driving to Mayo Clinic for treatment for me. The ride took all weekend and now I am starting with doctors, but I did bring my Christmas stamps, inks and some coloring stuff and I hope to get a jump on part of my Holiday cards between doctors and treatments! I would LOVE to win a spot in this class, thanks for the chance to enter.

  5. Life has been so hectic so I have not been able to sit quietly and do something fun like scrapbooking or just making cards. I used to do stamping a lot (20 yrs ago, LOL) and just very recently I found your Youtube videos. I love it….you inspired me and I wish that I had more time to learn all these new tricks. Thank you…..for all those awesome videos.

  6. I had 20 kids over for my son’s birthday party. He’ll be 10 the 12th this month. So I haven’t really had the the time for crafting this weekend 🙂

  7. Jennifer I’m loving this campaign. Thanks for inspiring us all. Of course I would love to win a spot in the newest class. I’m a big fan of them. Thanks

  8. Yes, this weekend I had a little bit of time for making cards. Even though I have to study for a exams in a university I always find a way to do some cards. 🙂

  9. Hi Jennifer, yes I craft all the time. I’m a grade one teacher on permanent disability due to having an autoimmune disease. When I’m not feeling sick, I watch one if your videos and go to my craft desk to create something nice for someone to brighten their day. Thank-you so much for putting this together for all of us! You are right in touch and on top of all these wonderful companies and their products. Thank-you for the quick links!! Kindest Regards! Veronica Rohm CANADA
