Hi, friends! Today I show how to create a suspension card for a fun surprise inside…
Adding suspended images inside of a card is easy… once you get the hang of it. It is not easy to describe in words, so I encourage you to check out the video!
I did some quick Copic coloring and die cutting of the new Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Pals and Rainy Days Stamps sets. I created my own inked sunshine and added the fun Clear Droplets as accents. This little guys are so much fun and work on any card!
Inside the card, I have cute little birds suspended on silver thread. All you have to do is sandwich the string between the colored die cut and a plain die cut. This is great for any stamps and coordinating dies you have.
Oh, and here are the Copic Maker colors I used: pink (RV52, RV25), teal (BG11, BG13), blue (B41, B24), green (YG13, YG17), orange (YR12, YR15), clouds (B41, B00, B02), and touches of YR15.
I was running out of time when making this card, so I had to take the photo of it after Lila woke up from her nap. She took one look at it and stole it. 🙂 I had planned to give it to a nurse who has been kind to me… but I think I may have trouble getting it back from Lila. 🙂 I think I will have to make another. (And don’t you love her messy hair and Elsa dress?)
Oh my… that face makes me melt. 🙂
Just a quick Share Handmade Kindness Challenge update for you! I will post the winners from last week very soon – just waiting for a couple of the deadlines to pass. I hope you all are enjoying the Week 2 challenge of giving cards to folks who work/serve in our community. I think this is my favorite kind of card to give because it is usually unexpected and very deserved. However, you can still participate by giving any kind of handmade kindness to anyone!
This post is also part of the 2-Day Pretty Pink Posh Blog Hop celebrating their new dies, sequins, seed beads and stamp sets! (Yes – they now have stamps!) You can find their new products at PPP, Simon Says Stamp, or Ellen Hutson.
Giveaway time! There will be FOUR $25 gift certificates up for grabs during this 2-day Pretty Pink Posh Blog Hop. Winners will be picked randomly along the blog hop. For your chance, leave a comment below by 11:59pmPST on 11/16/2015 telling me your favorite product from this new release. (The winner’s name will be randomly selected and posted on the PPP Blog after 11/18/15.)
