TWO VIDEOS: SSS Product Release Close-Up + Blog Hop + Giveaway!

Once again, I have a lot to share today! Two more videos. More new products. Another fun blog hop. Lots of giveaways! This time I am celebrating the newest Simon Says Stamp release.

First up, here is a Product Release Close-Up Video showing a look at the new Simon Says Stamp Create Joy Release, along with a few ideas for using them…

My second video shows a few of these new Simon Says Stamp products put into action to create a tri-fold window card.

In this video, I show how you can easily create a tri-fold card of any size out of two notecards. This is a great card design technique… especially with a fun window on the front.

I really wanted a “floating” white sentiment on the front window of my card. Therefore I white heat embossed the gorgeous sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp For To Us stamp set onto a piece of Judikins Embossable Window. (This is a great acetate that doesn’t warp easily when heated.) I put this into the window I created with the Simon Says Stamp Soft Snowfall Die.

I used the center piece of the Simon Says Stamp Soft Snowfall die cut to decorate the second portion of the tri-fold card. I applied lots of Distress Ink to create a night sky… and even masked off a circle to create a soft moon. (You can see the specific colors I used in the thumbnails at the end of this post.) I also added Silver Stickles into the tiny holes of the die cut for added shine.

And last but not least, I stamped a matching sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp For To Us stamp set on the final card opening.

I hope you give a window tri-fold card design a try. It is a great way to get more from your dies… and a great way to create card that is a bit different and fun.

  1. I watched this video as soon as it was posted, and it is absolutely stunning! LOVE these products!
Thanks for always helping to make things look easy, and for sharing your creativity with us! 🙂

  2. Your cards are so beautiful! While the cats or the wreath are my favorites, you’ve got me looking the the snowfall die.

  3. I enjoy your videos! Im new to this so it’s get to get all the tips and ideas. I really like the new stamps to create the invitations. They are all very nice!

  4. I’m so disappointed that the Soft Snowfall die is already out of stock at SSS. I love it more than anything else in the release, and the way you added a large moon to the background was just brilliant.

  5. Another inspirational card! My favorite in this product release is the circle sayings. Although the intricate dies are also interesting especially after your product release video on how to extend these dies.

  6. Thank you so much for sharing how to make a trifold card.
It is a beautiful card with a wonderful message. I hope Simon Says will have the acetate back in stock soon. I love the beautiful night time sky and glittery stars.

  7. The tree background is my favorite. Your card is amazing and now i am inspired. Love the use of the acetate and the look it gives to the front of the card. Also the distress ink color are amazing. I went to check into my collection and i don’t have either one,so they are on my shopping list. Love, love your video!. Thanks.

  8. You have done it again! Love how you make your stamps into different creations! Absolutely creative!!! Thanks

  9. I love watching your tutorials, you always speak and explain everything with ease and clarity, I really like the sss greeting, the script handwriting looks great on the card. Thanks for sharing .

  10. Love all your suggestions on stretching and mixing stamp sets. I wish I had half your visions on how to use them…thank goodness you share them. Love the stamp set used on the tri fold card but the die just makes me think of a winter wonderland. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for all of us in November.

  11. Hello Jennifer,
I just love your card and all your fabulous techniques. Thank you for sharing.

    Maggie D. 🙂

  12. Thanks on your marvelous posting! I genuinely enjoyed reading
it, you might be a great author.I will ensure that I bookmark your blog and will eventually come back very soon. I want to encourage one to continue your great
    job, have a nice day!

  13. I missed the giveaway, but still wanted to say hi and let you know how much I love your videos and this soft snowfall die. I don’t keep Christmas but there are some things I can still do with set! I want to make some sun rise/sun set cards for winter and using the acetate to create the same effect. There are so many wordings that you could use on a non-Christmas card that I might be playing with the set until Spring!

  14. This has definitely inspired me to make a “floating” trifold card. Thank you for sharing your talent & graciousness!

  15. Wow Jennifer this is a stunning card! It’s taken a bit for me to get the snow fall die and while I didn’t have the sentiment you used, I used Penny Black’s “Holy Night”‘ stamp set, the sentiment “O Holy Night The Stars Are Brightly Shining”. It fit perfectly in between the trees. I probably ruined half a dozen acetate sheets! It wasn’t hard not to warp it, but the embossing powder kept sticking to it in areas near the words no matter how little or how much I used my anti-static powder (the same one you use). Very frustrating indeed! You make it look so easy!! Love your video tutorials and you explain everything perfectly. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas! This is my favorite so far!

  16. Im a little confused, when I followed the link : this release , it took me to a more Thanjsgiving list of new SS releases. Everyone seems to be commenting on the winter looking one. Anyway, of the linked one, I like the Powerful Poppy the best.

  17. I am so happy that your Christmas cards have lots of Christian values–it is too easy to stamp Merry Christmas on a wreath and think you have done your job. The quote of “to us a Son is given” gives me a “thrill of Joy”. I always send religious cards and now I can make them more personal. So far “O Holy Night” with a Christmas star and a barren tree on vellum were my only idea–but now I have a new one, thanks to you. Anne
