Video: Ombre Ink Layering + Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello! Today’s video shows how to use ombre inks for stamp layering. I am also participating in a Hero Arts blog hop with fun giveaways.

Layering stamps (sets with images that are meant to be stamped on top of each other) are becoming more and more popular and give such realistic results. However, it can be difficult to find multiple ink colors that work well together for the layered stamping. So today I show how you can use Hero Arts Ombre Inks.

For the first example, I used the Hero Arts Green Ombre Ink Pad to stamp the layers of the Hero Arts Layering Christmas Tree. I also heat heat embossed some snow on top. This stamp set makes this super easy to do!

For the background, I stamped the Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Stamp with Soft Pool Ink.

For my second example, I added highlighting (very quickly!) with a white pencil. I tell ya – a white pencil is an inexpensive tool that can make your stamping pop.

I also adhered a silver thread bow to the bottom of the wreath.

Now for a completely different look… I used ombre inks to stamp all the “coloring” in the Hero Arts Color Layering Dimensional Bird stamp. This set is so much fun!

You could use any inks for this card, but the ombre inks add such great color variation.

Oh – and I added Glossy Accents to the eye and berries.

At first I thought Ombre Ink Pads are more expensive than the normal ones. But thanks to your demonstration it is now clear to me that Ombre ink pads provide more choices for creation than the mono colored ink pads. So when I will earn enough money (by selling sketches and paintings) to be able to get a chance to invest in an ink pad I will definitely buy the Ombre one.
