Video: Clear Shaker Card + Discount Code + GIVEAWAY
Hello. I’m back today from a much-needed hiatus to share how to create a clear shaker card. I also give a closer look at the new stamps from Clearly Bessotted.

I’ve been wanting to make a card made entirely of a shaker pocket for some time. I’ve done similar cards in the past using vellum but wanted to try it with perfectly-clear-plastic. And thanks to the new We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool, this is very simple!
To create the pocket, I used an Avery Elle Stamp Pocket and the We R Memory Keeper’s Fuse Tool. This tool heats up and creates a seal around the plastic. When using this tool, it is helpful to use a piece of white cardstock inside the pocket as a guide for where to fuse. I fused three sides and then filled the pocket with some of Lucy Abram’s sequins. (I like that she offers unique mixes of sequins and beads in softer colors.) After sliding in a gift card with a handwritten note on the back, I sealed the remaining side. What a fun shaker pocket! You could create these in many sizes and shapes. This is also a unique way to add some thoughtfulness and fun to a gift card present. (I used an Avery Elle stamp pocket for the plastic sheets. You could also use scrapbook page protectors, etc. Click HERE for another shaker card with the Fuse Tool.)
I stamped and colored the adorable critter balloons from the new-and-oh-so-fun Clearly Besotted Best Birthday stamp set. I adhered the critters to the front of the pocket using the Xyron Sticker Machine (I don’t use that handy tool enough!) and drew in balloon strings with a Sharpie. I finished off the card with a greeting from the Clearly Besotted Raise a Glass Stamp Set.
This card is a great way to incorporate a gift card into your project. If you don’t have a fuse tool, you can also use a sewing machine to seal up the pocket.
