Video: Spotlight Die Cutting + Blog Hop + Giveaway
Hello! Today I have an oldie-but-goodie technique for you that I call spotlight die cutting. And be sure to keep reading – this post is also part of a fun blog hop with prizes.

Sometimes old techniques are the best! For today’s cards, I did a spotlighting technique that is great for getting more from your stamps and dies. I show a couple ways to get this look (and link to more below). The cards use the fun Big Birthday Wishes stamp set from the April 2015 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. (You can buy the stamp separately, too.)
I created the candles on my own, but you could use a die if you have one. For shine, I used Wink of Stella… and a double layer of Glossy Accents on the flames. Boy – two layers *really* looks incredible. I will be doing that again!
The rest of the card is pretty simple to keep the focus on the stamping. The Bazzill kraft-with-foil cardstock is so much fun and perfect for backgrounds on just about any card. (Note to self: Go buy more of this stuff.)
