Hello. Today’s video shows how to create a no-bulk shaker card.

I know many of you (like me) are enjoying the shaker-card-trend that is going on right now. However, the added bulk can sometimes be challenging when it comes to mailing. Therefore, I came up with a no-bulk solution.I started by creating the window frame with the Holiday Apertures frame dies from WPlus9 on the front of a silver shimmer notecard. I adhered an acetate piece on to the back of the window frame. Using Black Staz-On Ink, I stamped a WPlus9 greeting on the front of the acetate. I also wanted to add a “sparkle” glitter die cut with some dimension. To do this, I applied some Stick It adhesive on the front and back of some white fun foam and die cut with the WPlus9 “sparkle” word die. I also die cut the “sparkle” from gold glitter paper. After adding the glitter die cut on top of the foam, we have a detailed word with fun dimension.
I lined up another sheet of acetate with the double sided tape and glued that against the back of the acetate window after placing star glitter from Martha Stewart and confetti from Pretty Pink Posh inside. (The shaker goodies are just sandwiched flat between the acetate pieces – no bulk – but are still able to move around.) And since you can see through the large window, I adhered a top folding white notecard on the inside for a fun way to include a message.
I put the leftover pieces to good use and created a second card. I really love that black shimmer notecard!
(I apologize – these were tough to photograph… especially on a rainy day.)
I am loving the gold, silver and black look. Requires no struggling to find the right color combo… and the glitter and shimmer add some fun.
