Caring Hearts Card Drive Update

Hello! Just wanted to give you an update on the Caring Hearts Card Drive.
Thanks to you, we collected over 17,000 cards from all over the world (Qatar, Moscow, France, Germany, Australia, South Africa, etc)! These are being distributed to over 100 facilities in US, Canada and Australia. Yay! Soooo many people will be smiling.

And a big thank you to Vera Yates (who really is the heart behind these efforts), Tina Schrof, Anita Recksiedler and Caroline Bredeson. You girls rock. And even more hugs go to the many of you out there that volunteered to take cards to nursing homes.

  5. We are dropping off the box(es) of cards tomorrow. I thought that I needed to create the 140 cards for my local nursing home so I was surprised to receive the box from you filled with cards! I am going to drop the extras off at a bunch of in-home nursing homes to help brighten another 140 people’s Holidays!! Thank you for putting this event on and for allowing me to be a part of it!

  7. That is so amazing!! 17,000 cards. I didn’t have time to participate this year but my daughter & I have done cards for this in the past. It just touches my heart how many gave their time to take care of those forgotten and/or lonely seniors. Our hobby is filled with wonderful people, happy holidays to all of you!!

I sent in some cards and was also motivated to get a list of shut ins from my church and send them cards as well. Thank you!   9. Congratulations to all of the winners. I feel I was the biggest winner in that I got to deliver cards to the nursing homes. They were all (3) so appreciative. It really made my Christmas special. I would love to do this again next year. Such a great project. Thanks for letting me be such a small part of it.

  19. This was my first year participating. It feels good to know something I created will brighten the holiday season for others. My job is pretty demanding, so didn’t have the time (or the energy) to make as many cards as I had hoped, plus I didn’t learn about the program until about the first week of November, but I look forward to participating next year. Thanks to everyone who obviously worked so hard to make this program the success it is! Congrats to all of the winners. Happy holidays, everyone!

We send to many shut-ins and the hospitalized in our church and I know how much it means to them all! Great going and great job to everyone!!!
