Update

Hello!

I will be back in the swing of things on my blog soon. Just got back from a family trip to Disney. I have been to Disney many times in my life, but this trip was the most magical yet. Lila is the first of my kids to really get into the characters and magic of being there. I will never forget her eyes when she saw the castle light up for the first time or the sound of her voice when she said, “Mom! It’s magic!” So amazing.

So, again, I will be back to normal posts (and hopefully email) soon.

Just saw these fun things that I thought you might like:

See you soon. Promise!

  1. Took the grands there in spring and had the same awestruck reaction from the 4yr old He keeps asking to go back! Glad you had such a wonderful visit.

  2. It was so much fun following your trip and watching Lila as she magically glowed and beamed. So much fun when the kids are really into it as Lila was.
Wish we could have watched and followed your family for another week.
I don’t know which is more fun, watching Lila or getting great tips on card making from you.
And, Aaahhhhhhhhh, the Christmas decorated Castle at night, Lila is right, it is Magic.

  3. Awww. This post about Disney brings back so many fond memories there with my children. There is just something so magical about Disney. And Elliot was crazy about the characters when she was just a baby. My heart is full of memories.
I totally recommend the Disney Cruise Line. Amazing service. Incredible entertainment. Something for everyone.
So glad you had an amazing time with your family. 🙂

  4. Beautiful picture! Your story brought tears of joy to me. Its very beautiful when a child can make you feel the way your daughter made you feel. Thank you for sharing!

  5. Eagerly waiting for your upcoming videos… they are so creative… watching them is like relaxing myself, rejuvenating and makes feel fresh….:)

  6. Such a sweet photo! So happy you had a magical time–I love Disney like a big kid myself, but there’s something special about seeing it through the eyes of an enthusiastic child. Thanks for all the cool links. 🙂

  7. I got a tear in my eye when I read the special moments you shared with Lila. She looks in awe in the picture. So sweet. 🙂

  8. I am so happy for you. Disney is like no other experience. The very first time I ever went was in 1965 when we took our four small children. My husband was In the Marines and had orders to go to Vietnam. My youngest was just a baby and the other children were all under six year old. They were mesmerized as was I. My husband was seriously injured when he stepped on a land mine only a few months later and the memories of that day are so sweet. We went to Disney many times and then after my husband passed away we took my grandson and that is a whole other story. Lila is beautiful, enjoy every moment with her and your little boy. They grow up so fast. I have to say I miss when you don’t have some crafty post but your family is much more important.

  9. Wow, what a wonderful photo!! Your lovely daughter is so adorable, and she has stars in her eyes ! Not one, but TWO princess on the photo! 🙂

  10. My first granddaughter is about to turn 9 months old. Seeing this wonderful picture and reading so many great stories of times at Disney has inspired me to start planning a future trip. Way future since she’s still so young, but it will be fun to start dreaming!

  11. Look at that precious little Cinderella! If you decide to scrapbook it, I’d love to see what you do. I find Disney a fun challenge.

  12. Jennifer, that photo is precious!! Disney IS magical when seen through the eyes of a child. We were there many times when our children were young, and also many times with our young grandchildren and it never gets old witnessing their wonder and joy. Your daughter is adorable!

  13. Lila is right, Disney is magical. What wonderful memories you are creating. But you, Jennifer, a stamp addict – no two ways about it. And I think we all love you for it.

  14. Awww….how precious.
My daughter said a similar thing upon entering Disneyland.
It really is so magical, no matter your age!

  15. My daughter is 50 and she still holds such vivid and fond memories of those times! Your daughter will be a grown woman with a family in another blink of your eye. These ARE the times to treasure, for they move so quickly. As well, thank you for giving all of us the gift of your creativity, talent, and inspiration. I do enjoy your blog so very much! Blessings.

  16. I’m so happy for you that you had a magical experience at Disney! This photo is the sweetest! On our first trip with the kids the first day we had gone all day to Epcot and as we’re walking out to our car in the parking lot our daughter kept thanking us for bringing her there. It wasn’t something that our strong-willed girl would normally do, so we knew that we’d done it right! I hope you enjoy the memories of your trip for a long time and you’re able to share with Lila as she gets older how she enjoyed it!

  17. DGD just got to go to Disneyland for the first time. I’ve been doing scrapbook pages for her album. It’s all the more fun through the eyes of a child! :o)

  18. Sounds like you had a great trip and so glad your precious daughter enjoyed it so much!! BTW, I live near enough to WDW to actually see their fireworks! So my children really enjoyed growing up in Disney’s shadow, and enjoy going with friends when they are in town.
