TWO Videos + Blog Hop + Giveaways

It is an exciting day for me… so exciting that I have TWO videos and TWO cards for you. See… this post is for the Essentials by Ellen Blog Hop… unveiling a brand new line of stamps and dies, designed by Julie Ebersole exclusively for Ellen Hutson LLC. I adore Julie and Ellen tremendously and I am so proud of them!

The first video shows colored die cut inlay and the second video is a “product release close-up video” with a look at Julie’s entire line. There is a card in that video, too! Then read on for info on the hop and a great giveaway.

COLORED DIE CUT INLAY VIDEO + CARD

I love the look of die cut inlay. Here, I cut all the pieces from white cardstock… colored them with Copic Markers… and then pieced them back together like a puzzle. I used the new Essentials by Ellen tree, house, and star dies – aren’t they the cutest?! It is amazing how you can easily add lots of faux dimension to the die cuts by shading with just a few markers. (Don’t have any Copics? No worries. You could also apply Distress Ink for a similar look.) By the way… to cut the large circles, I used the My Favorite Things circle dies.

To finish off the card, I die-cut the gorgeous Christmas word die and a few of the stars out of gold glitter paper that I created by heat embossing a piece of cardstock using Gold Tinsel embossing powder. After I adhered the pieces to the card, I wanted my stamped sentiment to match so I heat embossed the “happy” sentiment from the autumn stamp set by Julie using the same gold embossing powder. So fun!

PRODUCT RELEASE CLOSE-UP VIDEO + CARD

This “product release close-up” video shares a close look at this new product line and ideas on how to use the products. (I only do these videos if I like a release a lot. I was NOT asked to do it.) This release is fantastic because they work so well together and really reflect Julie’s great style.

Please know that all Essentials by Ellen stamps and dies arrive in an awesome package – a durable clear envelope with a labeled card stock backer for convenient storage and organization. The die packaging also features an attached magnetic sheet, to ensure that even the smallest of your dies is stored securely. These pockets are the same size (but thicker) then the Avery Elle pockets I love so much… so they can be stored together. Woot! (You can buy the pockets and magnetic sheet separately.)

You can find all the products mentioned in the video HERE.

In this video, I also show how to us the zipper panel die. I love it!
