I love a fun, inky background. In this video, I use a combination of products to create a night sky scene. I started by creating Embossing Paste stars on white cardstock using the Hero Arts Stars stencil After adding lots of Distress Ink on top of the entire piece once it was dry, I applied drips of various mixes of water, Perfect Pearls and Hero Arts Unicorn Mist. All together, the layers and colors give a fun look of dimension…
The fabulous WPlus9 Lucky Stars sentiment is perfect for this card, so I white heat embossed it on vellum along with die cut glitter paper stars.
Check out how the Embossing Paste stars don’t ink as much (with the Distress Inks) as the background… allowing them to stand out. Love this. So very, very cool.

- Texture Paste + Distress Ink – As I mentioned, if you put Distress Ink over Texture Paste (not Embossing Paste), you get more vibrant color. You can see that in action in this video. Both are cool effects… just different. (As I said in my comparison video – both products are great.)
