Video: Spotlight Die Cutting + GIVEAWAY
Hello! Today’s technique of spotlight die cutting is a fun way to combine your stamps and dies to create a unique look.

The technique of spotlight stamping has been around for a long time. Here, I did a spin on that technique by adding a die cut with dimension. Using the Waffle Flower Loved stamp set and Waffle Flower Starter Tag die, I was able to create three cards at once…
This technique is easier to demonstrate in a video then explain in text, so be sure to watch the video above. Spotlight die cutting would work with pretty much any stamp and die, but I feel it works really great with stamp sets like this one from Waffle Flower where you can “build” complicated images. You could also use any inks!
On all three cards, I “spotlighted” the stamping on the tags by heat embossing with Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I love how the embossed images line up perfectly with the stamping behind it.
On the first card (shown above, I used three new fabulous WPlus9 ink colors – Mojito, Miami Spice and Flamingo. On the next I used pool colors – Hero Arts Soft Pool Ink and the new WPlus9 Ocean Drive Ink…
On the last card I used two shades of grey ink (Simon Says Stamp Fog and Smoke) along with pops of color with enamel accents.
