Video: Distress Ink Splatter

Hello! Today I am again a guest on the Little Tangles Neat & Tangled Challenge Blog. My video shows creating Distress Ink splatter

[Supplies are linked in the thumbnails at the end of this post.]

This technique works best with simple images, like the outline heart from the Neat & Tangled You & Me stamp set. After I stamped lots of the hearts on watercolor paper with various bright Distress Inks, I added droplets of water with a brush. The nice thing about this technique is that the water and the Distress Ink do the work for you. You just have to let it dry and the magic will happen!

I also heat embossed a strip along the edge of my card for a faux metal tape look. I used the same Liquid Platinum embossing powder for my stamped greeting. (Yay! I kept it a one layer card!)

As part of the the Little Tangles Neat & Tangled Challenge Blog “Don’t Forget the Envelope” challenge, I created a matching envelope…

Here are some other links to allow you to procrastinate whatever it is you are supposed to be doing. 😉
