2014 Hero Arts Catalog Blog Hop – Videos + Giveaways!
Today I have yet another reason why this is the most wonderful time of the year…
Yep! It is the time for Hero Arts’ annual BIG release. Tomorrow is the day when stores will start selling the new Hero Arts products. Yay! So we are celebrating with a blog hop showcasing some of our favorite new stamps.
And me? I will be sharing fun projects with new Hero Arts stamps all this week. So this is just the start! And today, I have a couple videos for you…

The new Hero Arts Nicest Thoughts stamp is a great one for many techniques, including coloring and paper piecing, as I did here. You could do the paper piecing with scraps of patterned paper or cardstock… but I chose to use some fun not-so-glittery-but-rather-a-soft-shimmer-that-doesn’t-rub-off glitter paper. I love this stuff.

I don’t have a video showing the making of this card. However! For the main image on this, I used the paper piecing technique I shared in the video above, but skipped on cutting out each letter for “nicest”…
Now that cool background? That is done by taking the fabulous new Hero Arts Tiny Flags background stamp and stamping it three times in three different inks (Soft Pool, Green Hills and Tide Pool Shadow Inks)… just slightly offset each time. This “triple stamping” is very easy to do! I show how to do “double stamping” in this video I shared a few weeks ago. Just do the same thing but stamp a third time…
