Video: TEN Double Stamped Cards + Exclusive Discount Code!
Hey everyone!
I am again a guest over on the Simon Says Stamp blog today celebrating the newest Hero Arts release. There are just a few stamps, but they are all good ones… and only available this early at a few select stores. SSS is one of them! And get this – I have an exclusive discount code for 15% off Hero Arts products! Just head over HERE and use the code “newhero” for the deal. This includes the newest stamps, which can be found HERE. (Code is valid 11/17/13 through 11:59pmEST on 11/19/13.)
So I got a little carried away and created TEN cards. Yikes! They feature a fun technique for background stamps that I call double stamping…
Doesn’t double stamping look so cool?
You can see the fun double stamping on the backgrounds of my cards. This is a great way to get more out of your background stamps. I am really loving this new Hero Arts Tiny Flags Background.
In the video, I also show how to ink the new Hero Arts butterfly stamp in a way that they perfectly match your background stamping…
I went to town on this design with different Hero Arts Shadow Ink colors! Above I used Green Hills and Mint Julep. On this next one? Fresh Peach and Pale Tomato…
Next up is Soft Sky and Cornflower…
(Tired of this design yet? LOL.) Then we have Butter Bar and Fresh Peach…
And finally (!!) I used Soft Blossom and Raspberry Jam…
Now I couldn’t let the leftover double-stamped background pieces go to waste…
I used greetings from the new Hero Arts You’re So Kind stamp set. Kept it sweet and simple.
I used little inked punched pieces to make my own embellishments. I covered them with Wink of Stella shimmer and some shine from Glossy Accents…
For this one, I left the embellishments off so it would have more of a masculine feel…
This Hero Arts You’re So Kind greeting has a bit of a distressed look to it. For some of my cards, I left it as is. For others I filled it in with a black pen so it had a clean look. Love the option…
And finally (!!!!!)…
Done! Whew. That’s a lot of cards. But they came together in about an hour thanks to the time-saving techniques in the video.
Be sure to watch the Hero Arts blog as we are sharing sneak peeks of the many more new stamps Hero will be releasing in December.
Remember, the 15% off discount code “newhero” is good on Hero Arts items from 11/17/13 through 11:59pmEST on 11/19/13. This includes the the newest Hero Arts goodies, which can be found HERE. Enjoy!
