Studio Calico Kit + Tim Holtz Stencil Love
Hello! Just popping in to share a card I did with a recent Studio Calico Card Kit. (Actually, it was a Card Kit Add-On called Athens.) I really liked the stamp set in this particular kit – one of my favorites so far. I am a sucker for any set that says “you are missed!”

I started out by applying Viva Platinum Metallic Modeling Cream along the edge of a Hero Arts Snow Notecard over the Tim Holtz Stripes Layering Stencil. I LOVE this look in real life – I wish you could see it! A pearly look + dimension.
I stamped the Studio Calico stamp images with Black Memento Ink on Neenah Cardstock. I then used Copic Markers to color them in. (YG67, YG23, YR14 and R14. That touch of red? Love it.) After cutting them out, I added them to the card with foam adhesive. Oh, and those gold dots? Those are the BasicGrey Metallic Candy Buttons. These are amazing – like a smooth drop of encapsulated glitter. The perfect touch.

It is fun to use two unexpected brands together. Here? Studio Calico + Tim Holtz. I think it works pretty good. Tim’s stencils are wonderful. Have you tried one yet?
