I will be honest: One of the things I love most about this job/hobby is the awesome people around the world that I have gotten to know.
But one of things I like least about this job/hobby is that I meet awesome people who live all around the world. I miss them. Lots of them. Badly. I wish I could see them more… or see them at all! But it just isn’t possible.
So cards will just have to do… as it is as close to a hug as we can get sometimes.
And this card? It is going to one of those friends…
Paper Smooches products just make me happy. I used their new Drink Glasses dies to create the drinks. I covered the white “glass” parts with Wink of Stella glitter pen (of course) and created patterned paper “drinks” inside. I also created umbrellas with the Free Spirits dies and added scored lines and subtle marker lines for the look of dimension. Finally, I covered the entire drink with Glossy Accents.
Oh, and to give dimension to the glasses, I cut several extras and layered them together.
I embossed the “cheers” onto a stamped Soft Pool word bubble. (That word bubble is from the Paper Smooches Shadows set. SO useful!)
The background? That was done with the Paper Smooches Artisan Blocks stamps…
Oh, and those dots? Those are the new BasicGrey Metallics Candy Buttons. They are like enamel dots with glitter inside! Very cool. Perfectly smooth.
Fun to make. And hopefully fun for my faraway friend to receive.
