Stamping is Good Medicine

What is the best medicine when you have a house full of sick kids while battling the worst sinus infection of all time? New stamps, of course!

So these new Hero Arts stamps have me feeling better…

Nothing fancy here. Just good ol’ stamping with new Hero Arts stamps and Shadow Inks. (Supplies are below.)

Have you ordered any new Hero or have any one your wish list? Would love to hear what caught your eye. See you soon…

  13. Stamping/creating is medicine in so many way….for me (living with Fibromyalgia and Disc Disease), I had to give up many of my former hobbies—so I’m so grateful that someone in a support group introduced me to Paper-Crafting. That was just about six years ago and now it’s a passion and a form of relaxation — like therapy for me! I’m so blessed to have this in my life…otherwise, there is no doubt, I’d be very bored, depressed and lost…

  14. Great card – love the colors! I have a big wishlist, but SSS was sold out early on Saturday. 🙂

  18. I had the same sinus infection–and FINALLY gave in and got an antibiotic. I didn’t do any stamping, just some planning. I didn’t want to “infect” any project I was having, with all the coughing, sneezing and wheezing I was doing. Hope you are feeling better, I am, and plan to “stamp the day away” today.

  19. Bet you felt a teensy bit better after making that bright and cheery card! I just love all the faux painting stamps in this catalog. Oh how artsy and fun. Especially with the daubers.

  20. Fabulous card, Jennifer – love those colours! Hope you are all soon better!

It might be easier to say what I don’t have my eye on – LoL!

  21. I had the same worst sinus infection too a month ago. I gave in and went to the doctor, she gave me antibiotic. But I couldn’t stamp though, was worried I would sneeze all over my card and then would have to do it all over. Yikes! Feel better soon!

I have tons of stamps on my wish list and I could use some new inks too. Just waiting till it’s payday 🙂 10 more days!!!

  22. Hero Arts is one of my favorite companies, so my wish list is looong. But right now I’m trying to get the ink pads…so they have priority right now!

  23. Here’s wishing you all a speedy recovery. I can’t believe you are nursing yourself and the kids AND have it in you to create such a pretty card. Get well wishes Jennifer.

  24. Glad you are up to stamping and that sunny card you made will brighten anyones mood. I just ordered the entire line of Hero Midtone shadow inks and am LOVING them. I have so much ink was on the fence but watching you and Shari convinced me there was room in my life for more.. You were right!

  25. Beautiful card! (I call it “Creative Therapy” when I make a card and try to forget being sick!!) And new stamps sure do help 😉

  26. Hello,
I’m curious to know how you do the original card to make the side papers? Where the arrows are and the little green strip? How do you do that? Is it the green card and then you put the white paper on top of that? Sorry, I’m totally new to card making…

Thank you for all the information…I love your videos!

  27. Glad your new stamps made you feel better! 🙂 I like creating w/circles and shapes and this card uses the new stamps so effectively. Like the colors and design. The area border is cool and I sure wish I had the “knack” for placing random embellishments … not so much. TFS this cool card. 🙂

  28. I’m loving the new stamps that are on the “messy” side–kind of like kids made them. The brush strokes are nice, too. I hope the kiddies feel better soon.

  29. Hope you and your family are feeling like the sunshine you have in your card today. This is one my favorites, love the stamp set. You have made the card so free flowing and cheerful!:)
