Scrapbooking + For Sale

Hello!

Years ago when I was a full-time scrapbooker, I met a lot of kind people on the 2Peas message board. One was Debbi, who hosted challenges based on my books. Debbi now is over on the CSI Challenge Blog and asked me if I would be a guest. I had to say yes – she had always been so wonderful to me.

But this was tough for me! I hadn’t scrapbooked in a very long time. Very long. And it wasn’t easy. However, I am so glad I did it. I realized I missed working with photos. (More on that below.)

Here is what I created – my first Lila page…

I used various wafer thin dies… and used the words to a song I sing to her every time I put her down for a nap.

And another… using all photos from my iPhone…

One thing is for sure – I am very rusty when it comes to scrapbooking. And I am not “on trend” with what all the scrapbookers are doing these days. And I don’t really like what I created. But doing these pages made me realize something – – I need to scrapbook my photos. But not like I used to. In a new way. I will be sharing this journey with you a bit soon. I originally wasn’t going to, as I try to keep this blog for cardmaking. But I think it will be fun to share sometimes what I will be doing – a card maker and stamper’s approach to scrapbooking. Stay tuned.

(And by putting this on my blog, I am being held accountable – lol.)

Are any of you out there scrapbookers? Would love to know…

As I mentioned earlier, I am trying very hard to finish moving into my new craft space. While doing so, I am uncovering extra goodies that need a new home. If you are interested in buying any of these goodies listed below, please mention which in the comments below and I will randomly pick someone to contact. Here are some current boxes I have:

  • A box of christian stamps
  • A box of Stampin’ Up stamps
  • A box of Papertrey Ink stamps
  • A box of 12×12 paper

Thanks!

  1. I LOVE your pages Jenn! I don’t know what is trendy , your job is amazing. Lila is sooo pretty and in many of the pictures she remind me Collin!

  2. Like you, I am more of a card-maker and I always love trying my hands at scrapbooking!! I think it’s perfect alright to make any layouts (trendy or not). Because the pages were made with LOVE! I definitely want to see you scrapbook more! Lila is darling in these photos! You so rock at scrapbooking!

  3. Jennifer:
Your blog is in my favorite list. Great inspiration work for me. Thank you!!!
I would love to purchase : Christian stamps box.
    Blessings!

  4. I love your pages! I like to call myself a paper crafter…I love to make cards, scrapbook, 3D paper projects. I would love to see some of your scrapbook works.

I realize I am probably way too late in the game to be thrown in the hat for a chance, but I would really like to have an opportunity to buy the box of Christian stamps!

  5. I do scrapbook, although not as much as I used to. I like to do mini albums with specific themes, and I have been doing Project Life for over four years now. I don’t get very creative with that though. I save the creativity for my mini albums and cards. I must admit that I have missed seeing your scrapbook layouts – and the photos of your cute kids that come along with those. I’m looking forward to see how your scrapbooking has evolved.

  6. I think your pages are awesome. And I love that you shared the idea behind the page as well. Love all of the hearts and dies. Excited to see what you will be doing soon. Thanks for sharing.

  7. There’s one rule when it comes to scrapbooking – there are no rules!

I think your pages are so beautiful Jen, I am a scrapbooker but I love coming here for some “big sigh” moments to look at your cards … and drool! haha. Can’t wait to see what you are going to do with your photo’s in future too.

Thank you for sharing, I’ve been a fan of yours since I started scrapbooking 10 years ago, and I’ve never stopped loving your work. xx

  8. I love the pages!!! They are so your style and I think that is great! I look forward to seeing what else you are doing card wise and layout wise!!

As for boxes of stuff – I would be interested in Christian stamps or PTI stamps! Thanks for offering these!

  9. I do scrapbook and have for many, many years. Although I follow several blogs that primarily focus on card making, I use a lot of the various techniques for both cards and scrapping. I just wish I had more time for both!

I would be interested in the stampn up and papertrey stamp boxes.

  10. I started as a scrapbooker, and then added cardmaking as it used all of the same supplies.

You are definitely a talented scrapbooker, even if you consider yourself just a card maker.

And your daughter is simply ADORABLE!

  11. If its not too late I’d love to throw my name in the hat for a chance to purchase the PAPERTREY STamps please. Thanks Jen

I think your pages look great & can’t wait to hesr your ideas on scrapbooking!

  12. Your pics and pages are adorable! She is so cute! TFS I’m interested in your Christian and PTI stamps. Thanks

  13. Love your scrapbook pages! Like you, I prefer to make cards, I have dabbled in a bit of scrapbooking in the past. I find it so scary to fill up a whole page instead of a card! I love PTI stamps and would love to win them! Thanks!

  14. No, I don’t scrapbook, the 12 by 12 format intimidates me. Plus I am not all that attached to photos in general. Plus I don’t have kids.

But I’ve started using a Project Life kit — I keep my cards and ATCs I’ve made in there, as well as occasional photos and memorabilia.

  15. I’d be interested in the Papertrey stamps. BTW, I love your SB pages, especially the one with so many small photos of Lila. Really adorable!

  16. Yes I am more of a scrapbooker than a card maker. Can’t wait to see what pages you produce. Might make me more motivated to use my stamps. Love he photo’s of your pretty girl.

  17. Love your layouts of your sweet little girl. She looks so much like Colin. I think I remember you doing a page similar to the multipic page, of Colin when he was little as well. Maybe I am wrong but seems like I seen a page like this before. I am not sure if you have sent your paper to anyone else wanting paper or not, but if not I would like to purchase some if possible. DO you have any 6×6 pads that your not using? Thanks again for sharing your layouts with us all. Love the way you do creativity!!

  18. Jennifer,
Lila is beautiful and so are your pages! I scrapbook, stamp and craft. I would be intereted in any of your supplies, especially the Papertrey Ink stamps.
    Thanks!
    Kaen

  19. I am more of a scrapbooker than I am a cardmaker but I follow your blog for ideas on both. I love all your ideas! Keep up the good work!

  20. Jennifer,
Your pages are just as beautiful and inspiring as ever! Absolutely made my day to see them! 🙂 And my first thought (after, “Incredible! Love it!”) was, “My goodness, everything she creates is always so amazing!” So glad to see your inspiring style on pages again! It made my heart happy! 🙂

  21. Lila Grace is adorable!!! and i like your pages! i love to see scrapbook layouts. keep em coming!
I would be intersted in Papertrey Ink stamps.

  22. Lila is beautiful! I love your scrapbook page! I’m not really a scrapbooker either. I recently bought some stampin’ up 12×12 page protecters and the unique thing about it is that it’s not a full 12×12. It’s divided into little pieces. And to me, I feel like you’d make cards and insert them in instead of working on a whole page – which is difficult for a lot of people! I’m looking forward to seeing more post about your adventure. If I’m up to it, I should also post my adventure.

If chosen for your sale, I would be really interested in your papertreyink stamps and your stampin’ up stamps as well. But I would take anything if chosen 🙂

  23. I’m a scrapbooker. Actually, I started out scrapbooking and resisted card making for years, now I’m the complete opposite. I agree with that “pressure” that scrapbooking creates, but also agree that I should be doing it. My son is graduating high school in May, and I am so not ready. Don’t wait too long like I did.

  24. Hi, I think those scrapbook pages were really neat. I have just started scrolling through some of your projects and they are very inspirational. I’m interested in scrapbooking with printed Instagram photos, so it was cool to see that you did a page with all photos from your iphone, as we often capture all the best moments on our smartphones!

  25. I am a scrapbooker primarily, but I do make cards now sometimes because I’ve watched your YouTube channel. I love your sunshine page. It is simple but beautiful and most importantly shares a memory Lila will cherish when she is older. I scrapbook to preserve the memories/stories behind the pictures. That is what makes scrapbooks so special.
