Mama Elephant Grand Opening

[This is my second post of the day. For my Paper Crafts video, go HERE.]

Today I am excited to play with some stamps from a friend of mine (congrats, Kryssi!) and her new stamp business – Mama Elephant.

A little intro about Mama Elephant:

Mama Elephant is owned and operated by two childhood friends from NYC. We are so happy to bring the collaboration of our aesthetics to Mama Elephant! Our stamps are designed with card makers and scrapbookers in mind! Our stamps are carefully curated to provide optimal versatility with a wide variety of styles – cute, whimsical, bold, graphic, and fun!

I have a card to share with you, but then before to read below for links to other artists using these new great stamps!

I got to use the amazing new Trifecta stamp set. I love it. Check out the background I came up with…

This was really easy to create. I white heat embossed the triangles on watercolor paper and then colored in the open areas with different colors of Distress Markers. I then added a few dabs of Metallic Brushed Pewter Distress Stain (I will have a couple videos showing this product here this week) and many spritzes of water. After letting it dry, I ended up with messy watercolor… with a slight metallic shine.

(For a video showing this Distress Marker technique, check out THIS post.)

I also added some buttons, including a great one from etsy (find it HERE – love them) that I colored with a Copic Marker.

Fun. Love the bold colors. And isn’t this stamp set great?! So many ways to form fab backgrounds or unique shapes.

Now, be sure to head over to the start of this fun product/project showcase HERE and also head to my friend Kryssi’s blog HERE next. I know a lot of my friends are showcasing these stamps today, so be sure to click through all the blogs. I am sure they will be some great stuff!
