Warning: Bright Neon + Giveaway
WARNING: Super bright card ahead!
Yep – neon is everywhere. Everywhere! I feel like I am back in the 80’s, but without the big hair. (THANK GOODNESS.)
Hero Arts just released new Neon Inks. I had just a few minutes to play with them this morning. (This isn’t the best card but it was all I could get together quickly. The photo isn’t the greatest either. Sorry!) Although neon isn’t normally my thing, bright and happy colors are perfect for a cheerful card…
For the background, I stamped THIS Starburst background twice – slightly offset – in the Yellow and Orange Neon Inks. I then covered white cardstock with the Pink Neon Ink and die cut a heart from it. The blue clouds were punched from the Large and Extra Large Cloud Punches and covered with the new Salty Ocean Distress Ink. (That blue goes so well with the Neon Inks!)
The “you are my” is from THIS stamp set (which I have been using a lot lately) and the “sunshine” is a wood veneer piece from Studio Calico. I just colored it black with a marker. It doesn’t photograph well but is cute as can be in real life.
The notecard is cut from black Bazzill heavy weight cardstock. This thick and smooth cardstock is perfect for a card base. I will use a white gel pen to write inside.
These Neon Inks stamp really well but are hard to photograph. And something fun with these inks – it changes color when you heat it and goes back when cool. Kinda like a mood ring. 🙂 They are also great for the resist technique in glossy paper. Lots you can do with these dye inks! I love the orange – it is a great shade.
Here is the Starbust stamp I used…
Ok… you can take your sunglasses off now. 🙂 See you soon.
You guessed it – I have an extra set of the Neon Inks to giveaway. Just leave a comment here by this Sunday at 11:59pmEST for your chance to win!
