Happy Mothers Day and giveaway…

Just wanted to pop in and wish all you moms out there a very happy day. Big hugs to my mom and mother-in-law. Any of you that know them know that they are the most wonderful women in the world. Feeling so blessed.

Oh, and I also have some fun links and a giveaway.

But first, here is the card I sent to my mother-in-law. Wanted to thank her for being so wonderful…

I used the rolled rose dies from My Favorite Things with Papertrey Ink felt and also some awesome papers from Bella Blvd. These papers are so elegant and I love all the different colors. (You can see them HERE. They are double sided – I love this side.)

That silver ribbon has been in my studio for ages and I finally put it to use. Go me!

I also wanted to give a quick heads up on some deals going on this weekend. Some great ones…

These DVDs have been very popular and teach a TON of techniques. (You can find the DVDs HERE and HERE. A big thanks to Heidi from Simon Says Stamp for donating these.)

Good luck!

  1. Me, my hubby and our 2 children went to the beach and boardwalk and then out to dinner. We had a wonderful day together!

I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day too!

  2. I had lunch with my mom, grandmother, and the rest of my immediate family. It was wonderful to really get to talk to my grandmother as we sat next to each other. I also had to make a trip to the ER for my stepfather was admitted needing emergency surgery. My husband took the kids to his mom’s and I got some nice time with my mom and sister again. My favorite part of the day however was the little gifts my kids gave me that they made in Sunday School.

  3. My daughter took me to lunch on Wednesday, to our favoite small dinner, Garden Cafe’. I always get the chicken ranch sub, with bbq chips and a coke. 😉 My family took me out to breakfast at Ziggies in Springfield MO, our favorite breakfast place! I had banana pecan pancakes and they were delicious! My son and DIL brought me a wonderful old timey man’s tool box full of flowers that is sitting on my front porch to greet everyone. My daughter is getting married here in May and it’s crunch time, so we will celebrate M day with my Mom and MIL when they are here for the wedding. =D

  4. I had a lovely Mother’s Day which started with breakfast out at the Milwaukee Grill. There were 16 of us but with my Mom and both sons present it was such a treat.
After returning home my husband and I went out to our local stores and found at least half of the flowers we plant in the flower beds. Can’t wait for the color-so absolutely beautiful.

  5. This was my first Mother’s Day without my mom because she passed away in February, so it was a bit of a sad day for me. My kids bought me a lilac bush though and we planted it together and had a cookout. I also spent time scrapbooking and enjoyed looking through old photos.

  6. My daughter & granddaughter went with my hubby & I to a state park for a hike. The day was beautiful and we saw lots of wild flowers. My son called from another state. I’ll see him this weekend. Thanks for a chance to win.

  7. I spent the day with my mother, sister, niece and her baby daughter – what a wonderful day!!

  8. just got a chance to get online. Had a wonderful day with our boys and my mom and dad on Mother’s day. Great message at church and fun time after talking and eating!

  9. I did some gardening. My son helped me with some tree branches that needed trimming. Nice day for sure.

  10. Hi Jennifer,
I was thinking of getting this ‘rolled rose dies’from My Favorite Things’, can they cut on all types of material? Or just some of them?
    Kindly advise.
