Happy Mothers Day and giveaway…

Just wanted to pop in and wish all you moms out there a very happy day. Big hugs to my mom and mother-in-law. Any of you that know them know that they are the most wonderful women in the world. Feeling so blessed.

Oh, and I also have some fun links and a giveaway.

But first, here is the card I sent to my mother-in-law. Wanted to thank her for being so wonderful…

I used the rolled rose dies from My Favorite Things with Papertrey Ink felt and also some awesome papers from Bella Blvd. These papers are so elegant and I love all the different colors. (You can see them HERE. They are double sided – I love this side.)

That silver ribbon has been in my studio for ages and I finally put it to use. Go me!

  3. Since my children are grown and out of state and my Mom has passed, I spent the morning doing volunteer work, helping prepare a community garden for planting at our local Food Bank. I spent the afternoon on the phone with my children, and in between, I relaxed by making a couple of cards for friends….

  4. We’re going to a Mother’s day brunch with the “mom-in-law” and rest of the family. It was really yummy! My mom’s in FL, so I sent her a card and called and we talked about good craftiness!

  5. My son wasn’t able to come and spend it with me because he lives out of state. Our mom’s have passed. My husband took me out for a meal in the morning and I spent the rest of the day making cards. Happy Mother’s Day Jennifer! Thanks for the chance to win.

  7. Hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day! I’ve been busy this past month–last week I assisted a friend of mine as she gave birth and she was in labor for 27 hours! Not being as young as I used to be, I asked for a very quiet Sunday yesterday. My hubby and 2 boys gave me some flowers, a card (handmade!), and made me breakfast. I got to cuddle up on the recliner w/my boys and watch a movie and then watch a basketball game on TV w/my hubby (our team won!)…..It was a perfect, quiet, all day in pjs kindda day…and I even got to scrapbook a bit, too!

  8. My Mom and I spent a quiet day at home after church. It was blissful! Thanks for letting us share!

  9. Happy Mother’s Day to all! I spent time with my son doing some shopping (He’s such a good son). It was a relaxing day and quite nice.

  10. Happy Mother’s Day to you too!! My day started off with my 10 year old son cooking eggs for me. He’s never used the stove before and decided to get up early and surprise me…they turned out well! We did a lot of work outside and planted the magnolia tree my son gave me. We did more work outside, finished painting windows, and then went to my dad’s house and had a grill out with my step-mother. It was a wonderful day! Great gifts! Time with family! And A LOT of work done! It was a great day!

  11. Spent the day with family and it was wonderful. My 19 year old son surprised me with roses and a card, which he did all on his own. My 14 year old daughter went shopping by herself and bought me a beautiful necklace and made me a very sweet card (this, of course, would have been enough for me!). We also had dinner with my mother-in-law and the rest of my husband’s family. So it was a great day all around!

  12. we had tons of plans but had to cancel most of them due to a bad ice fall I had. We got to see at least a play that my little one had been excited about.

  14. In honor of my Mom, who passed away in 2008, I made her favorite cake. Since I have severe gluten intolerance, it had to be adjusted, but it turned out exactly like hers! It made me so happy to enjoy this delish cake and think about her. I loved her so!!!

  15. Hi and Happy {belated} Mother’s Day to you too. We went to brunch and then the boys left me alone to do what I wanted. I shopped and planned to scrapbook, but I ended up getting caught up in my book and reading most of the day. It was wonderful. And of course I can’t wait to use my present, which is to attend your classes in Buffalo next weekend. Yeah!

  21. My son was supposed to work but got sick and called in. We ended up going antiquing but left early because he got worse. Spent the rest of the afternoon in an Urgent Care trying to get him medical attention. Mini disaster! He’s more important to me than celebrating anything. I hope your day was nice!

  22. This was one of the most relaxing and happy Mother’s Day’s ever. My husband, all 3 kids and I traveled to visit my 95 year old aunt in the nursing home and she was so happy and looked so good it gave my heart a huge hug if you know what i mean . . . such comfort. Then we all went on to visit with the rest of the family for a delicious home cooked meal another aunt made, more comfort. The entire day was beautiful, sunshine, the kids played outside running and laughing, the food was to die for and everyone was happy! Oh and Pandora gifts for me! That was the icing, hee. I am beyond blessed!

  23. We spent the day at my moms. Just a quite dinner- well as quite as it can be with my 3 kids. Made a point to take some great pictures. Me with each kid separately, then together, me and my mom, mom and kids and also some rare ones of my hubby and I together. Our anniversary fell on Mothers day this year- our 18th. Ended the day at my SIL to see my MIL. A very nice day!

  29. Didn’t have any special plans, but oldest DS and fiance came out for a visit and brought a lovely bouquet of flowers. And then got a call from youngest DS in Australia with a “phone hug” and an IOU for the real thing in a couple of weeks.s And the sun was shining — so a great day all around.

  30. Mother’s Day this year was a last minute session at a portrait studio and I learned how difficult it was to get four adults to agree. Your new videos would make it all worthwhile. Thanks for a great giveaway!

  31. Happy Mother’s Day !!

We aren’t celebrating today… cos the UK celebrated it a while back !! As I have been ill recently, we didn’t do much, but I got a beautiful handmade card from my 4yr old DD ( atta girl !! ) ….and a squashed cake – which I “had to share”!!!! ATTA GIRL !!! I hope you had a lovely day too !!

  33. My husband had to work, but he did bring home some cards from himself and the kids and some chocolate. I watched the kids all day, and that was pretty much the extent of my Mother’s Day!

  34. I honestly see my mom almost daily since we work together so for Mother’s day I didn’t see her, but instead I uploaded a bunch of pictures to HER facebook page (she’s technolologically challenged).

  35. For Mother’s Day, I woke up to my husband and puppies locked in my craft room and let’s say I was very curious especially with the talking and noise coming from the room. I received a dog paw drawn “paw-made” card from my two English Springers, Chelsea and Max and it will be a card I will treasure forever! It was the best “dog-g0ne” day ever! Oh and my husband did a great job grilling dinner too!
